I was looking at rockauto.com. I didn't see any outer rear wheel seals. I am painting all my chassis and wanted to do my bearings and seals while I had it all out. There are outer rear wheel seals right? I am on the road and can't look at my parts right now.

Hi, After reading several posts on this project I refurbished my Z's steering wheel as follows: 1) I cleaned the grime off the rim with a green pad and Murphy Oil. 2) Next I sanded the wood/epoxy rim with a fine sanding pad. 3) After taping off the spokes I covered the rim with 'Famowood' Gloss Glaze Coat. 4) Taped off the finished rim then sanded (to 400), primed (self etch) and painted (semi gloss enamel) the spokes. By request, I figured I show some pics of how I ran my throttle cable on my Weber DCOE's. I wanted the least amount of permanent modification as possible, and I think I was able to accomplish it with a great pedal feel and smooth action/return without any binding. Parts list: - Lokar 36in throttle cable, I used p/n: LOK-TC-1000U36 ($48 from Summitracing) - 5/16" Quick Disconnect Ball Joint Assembly (sorry, I dont have the part number: size 5/16-24) ($15 for 2 from Amazon.com) - 5/16" (8mm) rod arm p/n: 99006.251 ($8 from pierce manifolds) - DCOE bottom mount cable bracket, p/n: 40930 ($33 from Pierce Manifolds) - DCOE external spring kit, p/n: LT5000 ($32 from P…

\ 1 Disconnect spark plug wires and fold back out of the way. 2 Remove spark plugs. 3 Disconnect fuel lines (send and return) at fuel rail near front of the head. Observe all high pressure fuel safety precautions. 4 Disconnect valve cover vent hose. 5 Remove valve cover. 6 Put transmission in neutral. 7 Use short 27mm socket to turn engine at crank. (when viewed from standing in front of car, turn crank clock wise) 8 Turn until timing mark on damper is lined up with "0" mark on timing gauge. This is top dead centre * 9 In cylinder #1 at front on engine, the piston top should now be visible through spark plug hole (flashlight or pokey screw div…

Lots of photos so it may take me a day or two to get them all up. Here is a step-by-step procedure for reassembling an SU carb. Rip it apart and fear not. I did not take out the throttle valve plate and shaft because of the peening and I am lazy today. (I'll do a step-by-step on modifying an SU in another post in the future where the shaft is filed). Note: I do not have my rebuild kits yet so pretend there are new gaskets

Ok, so you're using the new Classifieds and the ad worked. You sold it! Great!! However, now you want to delete your ad, right? Well, you could just simply edit the ad and rename it to (SOLD). However, if you want the ad to go away, here's how you can do it. Log into your account, then head over to "my ads" from the left menu. After clicking, you'll see a list of your ads. Now, take a look at the listing, and you should see a small "X" in the upper right of the ad (see screenshot). Click it, and the ad will POOF, vanish. Have fun.

This is for removing the pin that attaches the rear controll arm to the strut. I have a tool that is available for loan . All that is required for its use is to promise to pay the shipping both ways and returned promply , and clean ,also it is for membars only. There is no need to beat or pound the pin to remove it . After the car is jacked up and on stands , remove the nuts from each end of the spindle pin .( Dont forget to remove the tapered pin in the middle of the controll arm , that is there to keep the pin from turning + don't tighten it too much when done ) .The tool is then screwed down on one end of the pin. and a large nut is then turned on the tool and the pin …

There have been several new wheel choices available for our Z cars over the past year, here are a few that I have taken notice of. If you know of any others please post them with your reviews, let's try to make this both fun and educational at the same time! NOTE: These reviews are based on my own opinions. I have set aside all wheel bias and/or brand loyalty. Some of you may say that I have not picked any wheels above a 15" diameter. IMHO an s30 looks best with a 14 and/or 15" diameter wheel. Rota Shakotan (available in 15x7, 15x8 and 15x9! offsets will range between 0, +10 and +15) Positive: * For the money this is the wheel to beat, awesome sizes availab…
