So I frequently search online for 280z parts and such, typically on Craigslist via Search Tempest. I’ve noticed over the past ~18 months I seen a lot more adds saying, “looking for a 240z or 280z”. Are you all seeing the demand signal for these car going up as well. Every time my wife grumbles about having this car I always tell her I can sell it in a heartbeat If I wanted and not lose $$. I’ll be curious to see how the market for these cars matures over the coming years. Here’s a search I did this AM. First 4 adds are looking for Z’s. https://fayetteville.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=280z&sort=date&bundleDuplicates=1&searchNearby=1&nearbyAr…

My buddy's 73 has two holes that go through the floor back near the outside seat belt anchors. Is this a "feature"?

Gents, I’m considering getting a replacement engine for my 1977 280z. First the back story. The car has an engine that runs but has a myriad of issues that make it ripe for removal and likely rebuild and or replacement. Odometer currently reads 28k. It was locked up when I bought the car, and broke t free with som mystery oil. So I’m assuming it’s 128k. 1. Some of the freeze plugs are leaking due to rust from the inside. I’ve temp fixed those with JB weld. 2. I’m getting what I think it timing chain slap. I hear a what sounds like the chain is hitting the cover as the RPM retards from a rev. So I’m might have a tensioner problem. 3. I may have a head gaske…

I’m having a blast with this Z. I think it’s too early to start looking for another one. Is there a cool Datsun truck around 1970 that would pair nice with the 70 240Z? Just an idea

I'm refurbishing my lights and all the nuts broke when I took them apart. I found a set on eBay but they are from Thailand. I looked at all the usual parts sources. Does anyone know where to get them? https://www.ebay.com/itm/3X-HEADLIGHT-ADJUST-SCREW-WHITE-PLASTIC-FITFOR-DATSUN-FAIRLADY-240Z-260Z-280Z/150882540704?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D206154ce5fbd4f39b962027a811efb99%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D8%26mehot%3Dag%26sd%3D162684278544%26itm%3D150882540704&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

Hi guys, My name is Kyle, I'm 28 and live in Alabama. I'm looking to get into my first Z. My goal is to build a track capable car that can still be daily driven on occasion. I'd like to keep some type of Nissan engine in it just for puritys sake. I'd also like to do some sort of transmission swap where I can run an auto with paddles. Trying to get a feel for what can be done with these cars so any input is greatly welcomed. I've been hunting craigslist for a Z... Thanks!

SU Carb Sync Kit 1 2

Hi everyone, I ran across this carb sync kit that is made by a Rolls guy and will work for our SU's. I should have it by the weekend but if you're like me and are looking for an option other than the uni-sync you might want to check it out: https://www.britishtoolworks.com/product-page/su-h6-carburetor-synchronizing-kit I think this will be more accurate (for myself anyway) since you can measure both carbs at the same time, sort of similar to the original SU carb tuning with the metal rods. Cheers

Hey guys. I'm new to the Z car world. I inherited a "barn find" '73 240 this week. It was my grandfathers and it has been tucked away in his barn for 25 years. I had actually forgotten about the car. Anyway, it is mine now and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. Should I restore it or just sell it. I don't have a tremendous amount of time to work on it so I'm kind of torn on what to do. It is completely all original. Interior is in good shape (needs a good cleaning). It only has 35k original miles and only a few spots of surface rust. I gave it a wash and it looks pretty solid. Planning on pulling the plugs tonight to be sure the engine will rotate. An…
