I was wanting to know if it is worth it to spot weld the seams on my 240z if so is it worth it to do the whole car or just certain portions of the car? I want to use it for track racing and every day driving , also I was about to spray the car with rubber undercoating and I want to spot weld before if it’s better to do so. I know there are some pros on this forum they can give me the best advice

I found an Elephant that isn’t on an oil cap: I’ve looked all over and have cannot find any references to Nissan MP Elephant Grease, but there it is, right in the FSM in figure FA-22. Was this real? That would be an interesting piece of memorabilia.

Need Time Sert installation tool to convert P90A hydraulic lifters to mechanical. The job requires threaded inserts (easy and inexpensive) using a special tool only available in a complete kit including bit, countersink, tap & installation tool (one-time use and very expensive - $200+). I only need the installation tool. Size M18 1.5 but with special threading at tip. Anyone have the kit or individual tool for sale, rent or ??? I'm trustworthy. Rob in Arizona

Me and 3 of my buddies who are all Z guys in N.E. Florida are looking for a reasonable resource for Cad Plating. I travel by car a lot for my job so I am willing to transport them out of State. I am mostly in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Alabama so I'm hoping to find someone in one of those states. I did use a company in Orlando but they were expensive and every nut an bolt had to be cleaned and to save money wired up in strings so that they could be dipped I guess. I have seen pictures and heard of guys who have worked with companies that allow you to bring in a bucket full of hardware. We have alot of bolts, some fuel rails, throttle linkages etc…

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and seeking your expert advice on my late grandfather’s 280z that I inherited. My grandfather was the original owner of our 1978 Datsun 280z, 2+2, 5 speed manual, white exterior with brown leather. This car was my grandfather’s “baby.” He was a mechanic by trade and took excellent care of it. He used it as his daily driver for about ten years. Since the late 80s it has been garage kept. About once a year we use to get it out, clean it up, tune it and take it for a short weekend drive. For the past decade or so it has been sitting covered up in my grandmother’s garage. It currently has 84k miles. My grandmother and I hav…

Hey guys the whole inspection thing has pumped the brakes on my progress. I've found a local chassis, clean reggy decent shape. Actually better than mine in some spots and worse in others haha, there's a balance. Anyhow, what's the difference chassis wide between my 71 240(and all attaching parts) vs a 74 260. When the car is complete will there be visual differences outside. All my badging is new and 240z so I am kinda concerned ill have issues ahead. Will my 71 dash board and windshield fit hood rear deck kid etc. Thanks EH Sent from my SM-N950W using Tapatalk

Sept 15th through Sept 17th. I would highly recommend this event. Car show and wine tasting on Saturday and racing in the streets of Snowmass on Sunday and Monday. I won't be able to go this year, but I went to the kick off of the event last year and had a blast. I also went to these races for the last 10 years that they were held in Steamboat CO up until 1999. Don't know if there will be any Z's, but the 240Z's through 1972 are age eligible to race in this event. https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/2018-aspen-snowmass-vintage-car-races-street-race-rocky-mountain-racing-rmvr-255613
