I want to do two things on my 280z: 1. Hide gas tank from view from rear. 2. Run exhaust straight to back below rear license plate. Here is a crude scratch pad idea... a bit of Opel GT I am currently planning the tank and one idea is to have the bottom thinned so that it tucks up higher under the rear valance. The modded tank will also fill both areas behind the wheel wells (now that the driver side exhaust will not be located there). This will regain some of the tanks volume. A vent on the driver's bulge will need to feed back to the passenger side. A heat shield between the exhaust and tank above may be suitable for heat issues. …

Somebody gave me this..., and it taste like tequila. I'll drink it anyway but I did the shake test off Moonshiners do and the bubbles go away quick. I've buried all my car keys and given the map to my neighbor. Happy New Year everybody. From here on out disregard anything I type. I'm being proactive.

So after about 4 months of living with my second Z car I have come to appreciate my 280z even more. I purchased a 2006 350z as an alternative toy to my 1977. I also thought it would make a nice little Touring car for the wife and myself and it does do that very well. The car had the options I wanted, I.E. Brembo's, staggered Ray's wheels, Touring Trim with a 6 speed manual & very clean for $6,200.00! Deal! The thing that shocked me about this car is how truely horrible the car shifts for a reasonably modern car. The car is a real beast to drive in traffic. I understand that the manual is becoming a thing of the past for most looking for a new car these day…

I am getting ready to replace the clutch in my Series 1 car. I have all the items assembled, but have never attempted this before. Any advice? Thanks!

I received a message from a friend today. He sent me this picture asking if it was my car. It got featured in coverage of The Mitty in 2016.

I plan to get a car media blasted inside, outside and underneath. The body shop asked that I remove the wiring harness. Removing the front harness wasn't that big of a deal. Removing the rear one seems like a major pain and almost an impossibility. Has anyone had a car media blasted while the rear wiring harness was still in the car? Is there a way to protect it and still keep it in the car? Is removing and reinstalling the rear wiring harness as big of a PITA as it looks? especially considering it needs to branch out where the dome light and defrosters are located. Then go back to the tail lights?

Next door traveled for the holidays and gave me this. I think they wanted to be far away? I feel some scratched knees and busted sheet rock?

I'll be your new guy for the day. I recently acquired a 6/71 240z. It has cancer but not terminal. Front frame rails, radiator support and under the battery, the floors aren't that bad minor patching in front of the pedals. I found an affordable 74 2+2 that is rust free. I'm wondering if I can use from the firewall forward and just replace the entire front of my car. What fits and what doesn't? I'm hoping to keep all of my Mechanicals and exterior panels until I'm ready to paint, which may be a few years. My car is pretty unmolested with original paint. The Internet Is Awesome, thanks for all the help.

Has anyone out there seen or purchased a set of these "classic bucket seats" I am very skeptical of the quality given the low price point. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-PU-Faux-Leather-Classic-Bucket-Seat-With-Sliders-Mid-Sized-/282174169095

I know that there will probably be a large backlash from the community but its my opinion and experience on here, so don't get all hot and bothered from this. I was looking at a rear disc upgrade for my 280z (240sx brakes upgrade). And the price seemed ok enough that it prompted me to buy seeing that most people had good things to say about the company. While I was at it I purchased the 1" Wilwood tandem brake Master cylinder also so that I could put good power to the new brakes and see some improvement. I waited the 5 odd days for it to arrive in KS and did a check on all the parts and pieces. I immediately noticed that there were 2 left side calipers. And not one of eac…
