I have a 240z that at some point in its life had the right front frame rail and tower replaced (professionally and correctly). But it is missing the plate that id's the block. How can I find a list of vin# to block numbers?

I picked up a Series 1 Blue/blue that the original owner had raced back in the day. He was an SCCA guy and was preparing it to vintage race when he passed away. The car came with a modified air cleaner. Can anyone tell me the purpose? More air flow? Thanks!

I have developed a small leak in my transmission. It appears to be leaking from this point, the wires are wet, so I assume it is leaking internally and not from the threads. Has anyone else seen this and if so how did you address? Thanks!

I saddens me to announce the passing of HLS30 (UA) 02744. It joined its other family members that met a similar fate at the rust recycling pile in the sky (actually Lenny's metal recycling center...) this morning at 10:15am I have to admit I was the one that administered the fatal blow, when I foolishly sat in the driver's seat to check the mileage. The extent of the damage can be seen from the accident scene pictures below. I failed to support myself with my feet on the floor (shop floor, not car) while seated. These pctures are the only ones I can bear to show. We should have seen it coming. When trailer towing it home, the straps at each end kept coming loose…

Howdy, So I picked up another Z.... another because the other one is the garage waiting to get worked on, this one is now in the driveway waiting to play. Could not have been "better" timing as the syncro's in my daily seem to be on their way out the door. I digress, my buddy let me know about this 260 one night super late, I figured because there were no pictures it was going to be absolute mess, but I called the gentleman SUPER early in the morning, and he said to come on down. 1974 260z, I am missing the Datsun portion of the hatch emblems. I would like to know if this emblem interchanges with other years, and if anyone would have one they would like to sell. It does not have to be perfect, missing pins are ok. This is all I need for a complete set. Thanks, Gary

The plan is to drive to pike's peak, from central Florida next year. On to Mt. Rushmore after that. But wanted at least a trial run much shorter just to see how the car (and I) would hold up with lots of continuous hours. So a run from central Florida to central Alabama was in order (family visit). I decided to stay off the interstates, frankly the white knuckle traffic on I-75 in a car that small makes me nervous. So I took some very nice lightly traveled but still 4 land divided (US 27 and US 19) roads. This lets you drive 65 mph with hardly a car in sight. Found these (4 of then banded together) in the storage bin under tools and Jack. Not sure if Datsun/Nissan parts but they have that plating that makes me think so. Looks like spring loaded clips or shims.
