Searched through the posts for the answer to this question - apologies in advance if it's been answered before. I'm looking through my copy of the club microfiche, and the typical page has a couple of column headings I'm trying to decipher. The first column is headed with "S", and there is an "ICA" column, with "N" and "F" sub-columns. What do these columns indicate? Thanks - btw, I highly recommend the club microfiche, Mike did a nice job with the scans. The web browsing doesn't work with my 15+ year old CD copy, at least on my MacBook Pro, but the PDF files are easy enough to browse without it.

Must admit, one tank of Shell V Power Nitro+ in my 280Z and I'm hooked on this stuff. Ton's of good reviews out there. It's essentially 99% composed of what Shell uses in F1 cars. Helps clean carbon deposits (up to 60% one first tank alone), clean injectors, prevent corrosion and wear. Just filled up second tank and hope to do a few more. Also, noticed some significant fuel savings. 4-5 mpg improvement.

I pulled up next to this 1972 240Z last Saturday. This is probably one of the best looking convertible Z's I have seen. Most look pretty bad. This one at least is reasonable. Anyway, just had to take a pic before the light changed. I would like to see what the undercarriage support looks like.

Nissan USA is having a giveaway for your choice of 1 of 3 Nissan vehicles for Nissan / Datsun owners in the 50 United States. The official rules referred to on the contest page state that you must be an owner of any Nissan or Datsun vehicle with no limit on the age of the car (see Section 1 - Eligibility) and then requires a VIN for contest entry. Of course it won't accept the VIN of our HLS30 cars. You can then call Nissan customer service at 1 (800) 647-7261 option 7 to complain. The entry form can be found here; https://nissan.promo.eprize.com/summer2017/

I wanted to purchase a fuel rail from Palnet but was unable to get in touch with him. I went ahead and started building up my own, I am very happy with the results. The motor in this car was a bit of a rats nest to start with but has come a long way. Here is a before and after.

I think most of us cringe when we see the newer “replacement parts” in the automotive aftermarket - for our original L24 fuel pumps. You know the one’s that look like tin cans! Well it seems that GMB has a pretty good looking replacement that has a more original appearance. Most of you may already know - they have sold a ton of them! Just in case you haven’t been shopping EBay….. Prices on EBay seem to be in the $31.00 to $34.00 range - $13.43 PLUS $17.81 Shipping for example. I ordered 3 and shipping charge was adjusted to $22.84 total. So $13.43+$7.62= $21.05. Others are price higher initially, but with lower Shipping costs.. so shop, shop.. Most likely …

Was going to look at a car tomorrow and the owner says she always recalls a vinyl top on the car. This was a family members car that passed and purchased new. Was this a dealer option? I've seen them from time to time, but always figured it was aftermarket. Could have been a respray and added then. Different mirror and missing bumperettes.

I know folks express an interest in the Maxima N47 cylinder head from time to time. Here is one on ebay in case someone is interested. I have too many cylinder heads and two of these. Looks like it has been milled though. Good price though. To be clear, I am not the seller and do not know the seller. MN47 head on Ebay

Rebuilding an f54 block and p79 head, only have two questions I haven't really been able to find an answer too. Probably simple questions. I"m looking for main bearing studs for the 83 f54 block and all the bolts I can find say 70-78 which would be an N42 block, right? Will those studs fit the f54 block? I was hoping to use arp hardware for the main studs, rod bolts, and head studs. Also, I'm going to be doing the "high compression mod" for the p79, which involves shaving the head .080" , shimming the cam towers .080" (which I found proper shims for on datsunspirit.) running n47 valves, which I have, that are .080" longer, and shimming the valve springs by .08…

I changed my stereo setup because I was unsatisfied with the sound coming from the underdash speakers I had previously installed. I dumped these and installed a set of Polk Audio 5.25" DB522 coaxial speakers in Derek's kick panel speaker pods. I also substituted the Miura amplifier I had placed behind the Retrosound Radio for a much higher quality Kenwood KAC-M3004. It is slightly larger than the Miura but it's still relatively hidden under the carpet over the transmission hump (see pics). Additional to the front Polk Audio speakers I have Infinity Kappa 4" coaxial speakers under the quarter windows in the stock position for speakers in the 280Z and Infinity Kappa 6x9" sp…
