This isn't quite urgent enough for the Help Me! section, and IMHO falls between body & interior, so I'm posting it here. The welds that held my hatch support to the body failed. They gave way clean, the metal still looked OK, so I had a local body shop weld the support base/mount back in place. It lasted about a week before it sheared off again, this time leaving some damage behind. I almost think that I need to (carefully) drill some holes and just use screws/bolts and nuts (plus self-tapping sheet metal screws for the tight spots) to hold it in place, but that means putting holes in the drip/water channel of the hatch opening :-( I was wondering up a new m…

I just got this post from 240z 260z 280z lovers on FB. This could be interesting if S30 parts are included. https://www.carthrottle.com/post/nissan-is-restarting-official-production-of-skyline-spares/

Hey Guys! First and foremost a little disclaimer: I own my little Z since April and finally am going to post about her here!:) Since May I posted some posts in my blog already. The blog is and will be the priority from where I most of the time simply copy and paste my posts onto here, so the pictures are hosted on the blog and linked onto here!:) I will however slightly edit stuff for the forum, so everything makes sense!;) To not flood the thread right in the beginning I will delay my post with one or two days in between with the write ups that already accumulated on the blog as of now!:) To whoever prefers to read on the blog itself, or is too curious right from th…

I won a Fairlady Z NISSAN 2000 Valve Cover for $200.00 on Yahoo Auctions. Japanese Auction Center (Jauce) is a broker of auctions. I found the valve cover on Jauce. The selling price was 22,500 Yen. As fellow Z enthusiasts we should help each other out. $400, $500, or $600 is too much to pay for a valve cover. 10,000 Yen is approximately $100. Jauce is easy to use and you have to put money in your account via PayPal to bid. Some auctions are blocked for Japan bidding only, but you can request to have them unblocked. My valve cover was a blocked auction and I requested it be unblocked. Cheers, Kirk Towner

I recently got a transmission for pretty cheap. I have a 1978 280z with a 5 speed but I've been getting pieces of bearing with my fluid changes. This guy said it's a 5 speed but doesn't remember if it's out of a late 280z or a zx, any help!?

I just bought 12 months for what 6 months from my main carrier charges. Stated value of $20K, 6,000 miles per year for $141. They don't write Hagerty so I didn't get a quote from them but I hardly ever drive the car so I'm happy with this and they're out of Alpharetta Georgia, local to me. http://www.classiccollectors.com/

1969 production cars for the US market have a different emissions decal mounted to the underside of the hood than later 1970 model year cars. I'm not sure if Canada or other markets have the same decal as well. I recently found that HLS30-01590 (a 1/70 production car) has this same emission decal. I didn't think a car with that high of a VIN would still have this sticker (it also has the earliest hood design). Does anyone with a higher VIN ahave this early decal? I don't think anyone has reproduced this, due to the limited market for them. I am trying to get an idea of the size of the market to see if it would be worth while to have some reproductions made. I check…

Yep just like the title says I have to sell my 240 I'm hurt in more ways than one. I tore my mcl in my left knee and will be out of work .. I have to sell the z to get by. I'll be posting on Craig's list in the next couple days but here she is for the z members first. Completely rust free has an azc intake converting to. Holley 4 barrel . She has been lowered with an eibach spring kit and has poly bushings installed . The car has bigger Toyota front calipers. Needs weatherstripping and interior. The replacement dash cap looks ok.. the only gauge that doesn't work is the clock .. all the light work .. I have driven the car back and forth to work and took her on a couple Da…

So I have been waffling on whether or not to paint the wheel wells body colour or paint them black or bed liner paint. The car will be rarely driven in anything but pristine weather but rock and road debris is always an issue. What do YOU prefer?
