So, winter here in Wisconsin has been on and off. This weekend it is somewhat off, cold but no snow. A few weeks back I was getting ready to put up an additional two fluorescent 8ft fixtures in the shop/garage (total of 11 fixtures). As usual I got side-traced with the ol' internet. I found a company (eLEDlighting.com) that sold replacement LED kits. What caught my eyes on these were magnetic! You gut your existing fixture of the ballast and tube fixtures. Wire in their power-pak, close up the fixture and then attach the LED strips and your done! I though did it different. I removed all of the fluorescent fixtures and instead attached them directly to my ceiling, ke…

Happy Birthday Mark... Starting a Birthday card for you. You have been of such good assistance to a lot of the members, I thought it would be appropriate to let everyone know you are turning 68 today, and giving them a chance to wish you well too. Hope you are having a great day, and eating a lot of ice cream and cake. Jai Rusu_Mihai_-_Universal_Happy_Birthday.mp3

A question for those who have had these in their hands. Do they appear to be OEM parts? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-240Z-280Z-Chrome-headlight-cover-trims/332146172068?_trksid=p2059216.c100149.m2821&_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140127103305%26meid%3D50409c5480114bf49ef82a09540e7b4d%26pid%3D100149%26

Hi all, New member here. I used to own a 1970 yellow 240Z back in 1976, also had a 300ZX twin turbo in 1992. I am interested in getting another 240Z and wanted to get opinions on purchasing one of the factory restored 240's that were done back in 1996. They originally sold for around 27K directly from Nissan as essentially brand new cars. From what I have read only about 40 cars were actually completed before Nissan abandoned the project. I am looking at a 1971 which they are asking 70K for, which looks to be as new. Do you think this is this a fair price? Your experience and expertise will be very much appreciated.

Hey everyone, I am a new member to the Classic Z Car forum but I've been here reading for a while(: I have a question that I know has been discussed and I have read the threads but wanted to start my own in search of advice. I have nobody to ask these questions so I have come here for answers! I currently DD a 1995 Mazda Miata that is largely stock with 62,000 miles on it. I drive it to work and school (almost finished), I also race it about once a month sometimes more at AutoX or a track. I also do the drive from Houston to Austin (~300 miles-ish) about once a month (road trip anyone?). The car is great and I love it but for a list of reasons I am conside…

Hi again! I posted about a week ago asking for advice on a 280z as this would be my first S30 as well as project car. I got some great advice that led me to not pursuing the car. I've applied that advice and now, I've potentially found another and was hoping I could get some more advice. My gut tells me this is a good one for a first project car, but I'd love to hear expert opinions. Link to owner pictures. Description by owner: The one major issue is that this car is a couple thousand miles from me, so I'd have to pay someone to inspect it and, if I bought it, deliver it. Aside from that, this seems like everything I'm looking for in my firs…

Long time listener, first time caller I figured I should start a thread for the restoration of my 260Z. I knew the previous owner of this car, the father of Captain Obvious. I hope he likes what I do with it. Maybe I should start with pics of the usual rust? Typical frame and rocker issues, front strut towers, nothing left of the floor.

Prob been covered before, I searched found some old data. I keep putting off doing my trans swap (rear main, clutch, trans swap 5 for a 4 speed) due to fear of the unknown. anyway looking for good shop that knows how to work on old Z's (1975 280z). Found a website for Z tech in longwood FL. any others, looking for feed back on Z tech or other shops for this kind of work.
