Thought I would share the story of finding my latest Z -2/71. So I'm on facebook looking at a club page for a local sports car club. There is a pic someone has shared of an old Nissan sitting in a junkyard. The pic only includes the engine compartment , but the pic shows someone lifting the valve cover to show off a VERY clean valve train. The post said something like,'looks like a new head". I could tell enough from the pic that this was an early Z. So my alarms go off and I immediately start trying to track down the poster. I'm wanting to know where this is, and the guy is not sure where he was(really). I guess he was cruising with friends and didn't pay attention…

Hi all, I am new here, but interested in the group's feedback on whether our new offerings may be valuable to the Z community. I've been offering bolt kits to the Toyota crowd for about 6 years. We recently expanded our manufacturing to include A4 (316) stainless JIS sized hardware, as well as customizing our carbon steel yellow zinc and gold cadmium plated hardware. We lab test everything here in Colorado to confirm everything is class 10.9 (carbon steel) and class 70 (stainless) strength. I've poked around a little on the Z forums and did locate references to JIS hardware kits, and I don't see any offerings in A4 (316) stainless. One of the main rea…

I had installed an MSA short shifter kit about a year and a half ago and noticed that the rod supplied by MSA was curved differently from the stock shifter which positioned it about 2.5 inches forward from the stock neutral position, The first pic shows the forward position of the short shifter with the car in neutral. The second picture compares the new black rod to the superimposed chrome OEM rod. This forced me to stretch forward to shift into first, third and fifth gear, and to pull the knob backward with the tips of my fingers when downshifting into second and fourth gear. So even though I liked the feel of the short throw associated with this shift…

Wideband O2 Sensor 1 2 3

I see, what looks like, most like the AEM 30-4110 wideband o2 sensor. Has anyone used it to calibrate the AFM on an injected L28? I'm sure its great for the carb's but how about FI. I was thinking of having the bung installed on my exhaust and just leaving the o2 sensor there and when I need to make adjustments to the FI for emissions testings I would hook up the gauge where I can see it while making my adjustments. Or maybe not mess with installing a bung and just sticking the o2 sensor in the end of the exhaust? Need a little advise on this one guys.

1973 in Seattle just sold for $25K. I find it hard to believe that you buy a car and prep it to flip as this one was and make any kind of a profit? http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-datsun-240z-20/ Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

I have a '71 that may be suffering from sagging springs. Does anyone know of a way to return it to factory ride height particularly in the rear? It looks as if all replacement springs lower the vehicles rather than return it to factory height. My existing springs are factory. I was considering installing used 280z rubber shock insulator in the rear. I thought that would raise it up about 3/4". Has anyone done that with any success while retaining factory 240z springs? Would it require 280z shocks too? I would rather go with 240z mounts since those are still available new but it may not be an option. Thanks

The ravages of time are usually not kind to Z cars left sitting for too long. Especially outside. The wind, the rain, critters, the elements and nature can take their toll ... This 73 240z decided to at least defend it's self from theft. Qualifies for Bring a Trailer and also ... Bring a Chainsaw A while back, me & Zup made a trip to the shop yard where he has three 240 parts cars stored. Some other interesting cars stored in there, but this is probably the best one to look at. Thanks again for the Enkei wheels off the other white one Jim! We will have to get back over & put some steelies back on it. And maybe do some pruning on the one pictur…
