Converting my car from FI to triple 47mm OER carburetors for my Datsun Spirit motor. The canister and anything associated with the FI has been removed permanently, mounting brackets etc. Looking for some ideas at this time on venting the tank once that line has been removed. Appreciate all the help.

Part of a multipart project. This is a N42/MN47 NA engine. I just finished it up and hope to do a longer test drive tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me the bolt size that goes through the lower joint of the steering shaft where it attaches to the steering rack? Is it supposed to be a shoulder bolt or just a standard bolt? Also, what size and thread? Car is a 76 280z if that matters. Thanks

Quick question - I know I read this in someone's post, but now it's not coming in a search. Do I want the more compliant rubber on the leading or trailing side of the frame mount? TIA

For anyone like me looking for a nice set of original D hubcaps, there’s a set on eBay for sale. For the tidy sum of $6495.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/325649533956?hash=item4bd2398c04:g:J~EAAOSwD59kWrp5 I think for that price a set of early rims should be included.. Guess I’ll stick with my slots..

Hey folks, I am in the process of changing my gear oil at diff and trans. when I opened the diff fill plug, probably a 1/2 cup or so of fluid poured out. Either the car was tilted to fill, or a fill point was used i'm not aware of. Is there an advantage to this? or should i fill it in the standard manner, fill at fill plug til it drips, and stop?

I had a Pontiac GTO in my early days and knew several guys with Firebirds. I'd heard of the Pontiac Sprint 6 but never knew much about it. Found this article today. It's an OHC but the cam is in the valve cover. Pretty crazy. It was a big engine too. 250 CI versus 146 for an L24. Straight six with a Quadrajet. https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/inside-the-sprint-six

I recently completed a throttle cable conversion on my 77 280Z. Combined with my new throttle body, it's smooth as can be. Without going into all the gory details, here's some pics. Here's an overview pic. Cable come through the bulkhead and swerves a soft S-bend towards the master cylinders. This allows some slack in the cable to account for engine movement while running. It also allows clearance for the EGR valve if you are running one. My PO removed mine, but I may reinstall at some point so I wanted the cable to clear. Top level overview: Here's the bulkhead passthrough. I made a threaded adapter and sealing nut on the lathe. The flats allow me to get wrench…

For a few weeks now, They don't answer the phone (a number They hide) or respond to site-based emails. Surely, this cannot be Their idea of Customer Service. Anybody know?

I have been looking for a jack and wheel chocks for my 6/71 Z for a long time now, but I am not having much success. It was mentioned that the dates on these items are not necessarily close to the car manufacture date. I am curious to see how much they differ. If you still have your original jack and chocks (as best you know), can you have a look and post what you find? Just need the letters and numbers stamped into the base of the jack, and the letters or numbers stamped onto (ink) or in (indented) your wheel chocks and the month of manufacture of your car from the door tag. Thanks! Reference this thread for info on determining dates if you like:

No not going around in circles because it's springtime in Oregon but looking for the governor spring that goes in a 5/70 240Z distributor. When I took mine apart to refurb there was only one spring inside. Here's the part I'm looking for in case some kind Z-ster has one sitting around looking for a good home. It's part number 6 on the lower left of the diagram.
