Trying to reassemble my 260Z installed a Crane XR 700 ignition and PS 20 coil using OEM ballast resistor the car will crank but not start. Earlier with the stock coil I had a weak spark but nothing to the plugs now nothing. Connected red wire to + yellow to - and black is secured to the coil bracket. The LED flashes when I crank so that part is correct but I still have two wires off the ballast resistor. What I need to know is which wire goes where because I tried several now this car ran before and we were about to do a V8 transplant so we took everything out of the engine bay. That plan fell through and now after several months I am trying to remember where everything p…

I've searched all over and can't find a solution to my window problem. The passenger window on my stock 240Z suddenly won't line up to the frame when I roll it up. There's a good half inch gap, I have to push the window in order to line it up inside the frame channel. I've checked inside and nothing seems to have gotten lose or break, the roller is still in. I don't want to take the whole thing apart as this car has never been abused. Anyone have any suggestion? I'm ready to :stupid: Thanks in advance, here are some photos:

Although I have commented on this in the vendor thread about this new lock solution, I thought I would add this here to possibly help 77 78 280z owners in the future. I recently purchased the new lock set for 77 78 280z's from Zcardepot to mainly address the missing lock arm on my passenger door. Also, I agree with Capt. O in commending Zcardepot for addressing and providing a quality solution for the difficult to find late lock arms. And doing it in stainless steel. Since my lock arm was missing, I opted to see if I could install the new arm on the original & excellent condition lock (no wear on the cam). It is very close to directly fitting. I …

Do you wear driving gloves whilst driving your Zed, or other vehicle? I got a pair last fall and I used them over the winter, and It made driving nicer on those cold days. Yes, they were cold when you first put them on, but the thin leather warms quickly, and the grip of the cold PU steering wheel was more comfortable and you were assured of no slippage. But the Zed has a wood steering wheel, and I'm interested in getting some opinions from those who wear driving gloves. If you order now, you can get them in time for the summer (especially if you live north of I-70) And I think I can even dig up my old cycling gloves, which obviously fit my hands pe…

Hi all: If this is in the wrong forum, please move. I searched for this, but didn't see anyone else asking. When I got my '77, I thought I'd have it running in a matter of weeks. But it is taking much longer. I use my shop for woodworking as a second income, and can't put off paying work any longer. Obviously, this will create a dust issue for my car. I've never used a car cover before. So I'm not sure what to look for. I don't plan to use the cover outside. And I don't plan to use it for more than a few months (I hope!). My shop is insulated, but only climate controlled when I'm using it (window heat and AC). I don't want to spend a bunch, as …
