This may be a really stupid question but I am getting new spark plug wires. Were the original wires black? blue? Anything I need to know before buying them or plugs or cap and rotor? Thanks

I finally got the windshield installed, and the engine running nicely. Today was the first day my Z has been used like a car in a long time. But still so many things to finish. The before and after pics.

Hey there fellow Z enthusiasts. Just a quick background on my situation. I've been in love with the Z series since i was about 8 years old, when i first saw the commercials for the TTZ32's and i was hooked. When i turned 19, i bought my first Z, it was an 93 NA, a year later i sold it, and picked up my 96 Twin Turbo that i still have today. From that time till now i have had many different Z's. Started with a 78 280Z i bought for 1800. Little did i know the car was garbage. It had sat outside in utah winters for years. The frame rails ended up buckling because they were rusted thru. I sold that one while i still could. Since then i have been on the hunt for a clean rust f…

Just read where Hagarty named the 90 to 95 Z32 a top ten collectable, so I buffed out my 1990 original paint 300ZX. The Turtle Wax trim restorer works miracles. These cars are incredible.....don't know why they are so cheap!

This thread is mainly for me to document the process of refreshing this 1972 Datsun 240z that I was able to acquire with the help of Carl Beck. About a month back Carl posted a Facebook post on onto the Datsun groups, and I immediately inquired about the car. He gave me the owner's contact number, and after a month of jumping through hoops I was finally able to seal the deal and the car landed here on the west coast. It was last registered in 1988 and was a 1 owner car until I purchased it. Backstory is that the previous owner bought it in California enjoyed it here and drove it to Ohio. It sat in the back of his barn until now. Owner has passed away and left the car to…

Does anyone have any ideas on something I could use instead of buying the tool? I'm getting my ducks in a row and think I may need something to get these all the way down. From what I've read my fingers aren't tough enough. Thanks for any ideas. Cliff

I think I'd like to get a different 12Volt car vac. The one I have looks like a little shop vac: This mini vac has the convenience of storing the hose and crevice tool inside, and if you plug the hose into the exhaust port on the top, you can use it to inflate things. My requirements are a 12VDC power source, a hose longer than 24 inches, and a small size. A bagless device and cost of under $40 or $50 (tops) would be nice too, but would depend on the features. Think of it as a vacuum you can take on a car trip. Although that little shop vac works, sort of, I'd like one that is a little fancier, with better suction and a longer hose. After browsing some, I f…
