I've seen these "spots" on windows every day, but I've never been able to explain how they got there, or is it an optical illusion? Even the camera has hard time recording the image.

i've been dealing with a stinky cabin whenever i open the windows and knew that my rear hatch seal was in bad shape. i actually have a new oem seal, but since it's a glue-on part, i'm waiting until i do the bodywork and re-paint the car to install it. in the meantime, i decided to order the kia seal as an interim solution. i poked around online and found one for $35 from korea. it took a couple weeks to arrive, but i was in no hurry. it installed pretty easily and one door seal did the job nicely - about 1 1/2" needed to be cut out. a little searching and you could find the factory end splice and i cut it there with a utility knife. it works well and the hatch clo…

Does anyone know a source for new rubber gaskets for a stock 72Z air filter housing? Any help is greatly appreciated. I want to get one powder coated and I'm going to need new ones after it's done.

Hello friends, I'm getting a trailer hitch fabricated by a local fellow as nothing is really available these days. I was curious if anyone had any pictures of different designs? I'll post some pictures later of one I have in mind, but I'm at the airport on my phone right now and picture are tough. The design used the diff mount as well as the bumper mounts. I send the fabricator the pictures and told him I would like something that would be fairly easy to remove. The hitch will be towing the small harbor freight trailer. It's heaviest load ever will be an L28, other then that it will be used solely as an auto x rig. Anyone have any design photos in their archives?

Maybe I've been around early Z cars too long. After the Georgia Z Club meeting tonight, a few of us were walking around the parking lot when we saw an S30 we weren't familiar with. One friend pointed out the 280Z hood. I said that it was a 240Z. I recognized the bumper mounts were from a 73.

In response to Redwing's private email, I'm starting this thread for her. She has 5 disconnected wires and is trying to figure out what they do, where they're supposed to go, etc. First are "2 blue wires coming out of wrapped bundle" here: The one on the left (from center of image to top center) is not blue. Rather, it appears to be black with a blue tracer (stripe) on it. (Very big difference!) That may be the wire that goes from the "start" position of the starter switch to the middle of the drop resistor for the ignition coil. This isn't absolutely necessary for your engine to run, but it energizes the coil a bit more when you're cranking the engine, …

Hi All, I posted a couple weeks ago about interest in a 240z. The talks didn't last long when the owner didn't want me to crank over the engine and have any kind of detailed look under the hood. I'm now looking at a 280Z that has been offered as part of a trade (working out the details). Here's what I have so far: - 76 280Z - Second owner, AZ car - Car is original except for paint, but correct color (teal); iron cross rims - 132k original miles - "Runs like a top" - Factory R12 AC works - Has a spare 78 280z engine and other spare parts I saw from the pictures that it is an automatic. I'm fairly certain this substantially hurts the value. I'm wor…

Hi all, A newbie here who first posted in wrong area. So here we go again. I was blessed to have bought a Super Car, a 1971 240Z, when they first came out. At that time there was a 6 months wait, and no choice of color. Tho, luck was with me, and I was presented with one they called Mexican Orange. I drove her for 256,000 miles, trouble free. I've wanted to have that glory again for many years. Three months ago I was fortunate enough to have my dream come true, a 1976 Red 280Z came into my life. Love that car! But she has some problems, as we all do when we age. The (1) problem seems to happen mostly when the weather is warmer. Usually the first 30 min. are fi…
