So my Fuel Check Valve is not checking anymore. Opening the gas cap releases a great amount of pressure, and I can hear the fuel pump getting pretty loud too after a drive. The manual shows the 'Fuel Check Valve' inline from the vapor canister back to the fuel tank, and after checking it it seems to not be working as desired. Have replaced gas cap recently. 'Air does NOT flow smoothly'from the engine side when I tested it. I have not found one available or listed at any auto store, and Ebay returns the Brake booster valves on a search. Does anyone know of a substitute part # that will work? They don't look too complicated and surely other brands used something…

My dear Z brethren and sistren, Do any of you live within easy driving distance of Anderson, SC (near Greenville) orBurlington, NC (near Greensboro)And could I impose on you for a small'ish favor? If so, please send me a message! Many thanks! Sarah PS SC and NC were automatically "corrected" to Sc and Nc in the title. Sorry about that. No disrespect to the Carolinas!

One of our local Z club members has had his 240Z stolen. He bought it new 42 years ago and just finished the restoration. If you have a moment please have a look at his thread. Thanks, Chris http://www.ontariozcar.com/forum/showthread.php?3205-STOLEN-from-North

I've been trying to locate an OEM passenger door weatherstripping for my 1978 280Z. Called courtesy Nissan and to my surprise I was informed that they had it for the '77 280Z but not for the "78. They specifically said that they are different parts with different parts numbers. I then called Vintage Rubber and Randy sells the same weatherstripping for all years 280Zs and was surprised to hear what I had been told by Courtesy Nissan. He said he would look into it further. Has anyone had experience with this issue?

Ok, I have a chance to buy 4 brand new set of Konig LG 102 rims with center caps and lugs. They are 17 X7 4X114.5. I don't have any intention of flaring but looking to put coil-overs on one of the 71's I have. Will these be an issue to run and would it be worth my run to pick them up or should I consider running 15" rims? Thanks for your input!

I've been working on my antenna and found that the last section will not extend. It is truly locked in place! Everything else works perfectly and a lot of folks might say be happy with what you've got. However... I'm readying the car for ZCON judging and would like to have an antenna mast that FULLY extends. So... does anyone have a Harada pointed tip antenna mast that fully extends, has good finish, and is available for purchase? My next quest will be for some unicorn horns and hen's teeth. Thanks, Jim

I'll be in Fiji for the next two weeks. I may have time in my trip to turn wrenches on a weekend or coffee on a weekday evening. Sadly I only pass through Australia where many Z friends live. Here is the only Z pic I can find in Fiji:

Hi guys, I will be soon happy owner of 240z and I would like to get some hints how to begin with bringing her alive. The car was standing for at least 10 last years so I am pretty sure some maintenance will be required before I could fire her up or drive. Any suggestions how to start? I am pretty sure the brakes will be stuck due to rust. I have heard that rear suspension sometimes got stuck due to rust as well. What to do with the engine? Refurbish carbs? Oil/fluid change is a must, no doubt about that. So I will chang all the oils (engine, diff, trans), coolant. Anything else? Sorry for so beginner questions but I do not want to forget anything and take a risk of d…

Many of you that have 240Z’s know the chrome tail light bars are one of the first parts to go, due to exhaust gases, weather and time. I’ve owned over ten 240’s through the years and every one of them had rough looking taillight bars, with many even starting to disintegrate. A couple years ago I contracted to have a quantity of them re-produced and have since been offering them for sale. I posted here a year or more ago, but thought I’d provide an update with current pricing and a few pictures. There’s only one other vendor re-producing this part. Their price is higher and the accuracy is inferior to the parts I’ve produced from a perfect pair of OEM originals…

Anyone know of a good, trustworthy, Z mechanic that won't take advantage of an older person? There is a one owner car for sale and the Grandson really wants the car. After hearing that I really tried to convince her to keep the car. I was skipped at 14 when my sister didn't want my dads Z! Plus I think it will help with motivating the kid to graduate! I know my sons truck did. Anyway, if you know of shop or have someone in mind who would be interested in helping please PM me. I about fell over when I saw the perfect dash in the picture. Oh and if anyone ever has any information on a 1973 White 240z w/ a red interior sold in 1982 from Orlando, FL please let me …
