Not affilliated with vendor, just think it's a cool shirt, especially with Mr. K's passing. http://blipshift.com/products/mr-k?utm_source=blipshift+Updates&utm_campaign=9fab71db34-_Mr_K_2_27_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0513fd2cb9-9fab71db34-345793113&mc_cid=9fab71db34&mc_eid=faf1736972

I've done a search and can't find anything so this must be a dumb question. Anyway, My battery was just stiiting in tray without a proper hold down. I've looked at pictues and figure it will be easy to fabricate a bracket. My question is where does the J-bolt hook to? I see the firewall attachment point but don't see anywhere on the battery shelf designed for the J-bolt. Was it meant to just hook to the lip of the shelf? Seems mickey mouse to me. I guess I could weld a bracket to the shelf with some holes to hook to. Thanks, Steve

I've finally came to the point of actually driving my 71 Z, but first I need to insure her for the proper value. I'm new at this, so I was wondering what is the best course of action. Do I go to an apraiser, or trust the insurance company to be fair on the value. If she needs to be appraised, who does this? Sorry for all the question's, I just want to cover my investment if the worst was to happen. Any info greatly appreciated and always welcome. Thanks for reading. P.S. this is the best photo I have, wil post a more recent (complete) photo after she is insured and registered. ;0)

Hi all, I am still green with this "Tapatalk" stuff. Since we have abandon the old site I have not seen or found where or what was done with the old "classified section" we had. Any info on how to relocate it would be greatly appreciated. Newtonhubcap Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk

I removed my front bumper and I'd like to replace it with a 70-72 style bumper instead. I was looking at the Futofab 70-72 front, or perhaps a decent used one if I can find one. Are the bumper bracket holes on the 73 frame the same as 70-72? Are there special brackets needed to mount the early bumpers to a 73? What have other 73 owners done? My 73 setup is in pretty good, maybe I should just straighten out the one minor kink and replace the rubber parts. But I like the tucked in fit the earlier ones better. Thanks

Hello everyone My name is Dave Bouzaglou and I am the Chief Disorganizer of the Targa California. A back roads rally tour that is NOT competitive and spans three days of some of California's best sports car roads. This is our seventh year and the event is open to all makes of classic sports cars from 1975 and older. Now the slightly newer 260 and 280 Z's are considered continuation models and are eligible to enter. The event starts Thursday morning in Thousand Oaks, follows the twisties to Buttonwillow Raceway, where we have parade laps and lunch. Afterwards more back roads beckon to lead us to Santa Cruz for the welcome cocktail hour and overnight stay. Friday brings us …

I feel like an idiot. But I forgot how to install the tail shaft on the transmission assembly. The fork doesn't have enough space to move over the selector forks. Any tips? I'm not a transmission rebuilder...but I have done a few.

I know this is a 'tech' forum but just can't find the best place to put this. Chit chat forum, or ? And guys, I searched did not pull up anything. Anyway, I'd like to keep my S30 as clean as possible to keep its value. I know that my 240Z is going towards a track day build but still keeping it streetable (brakes, lights, signals working, registered). This is not a daily driver, though. It has a 6-pt cage and will add box section for secure fuel cell under-floor mount (road race legal) for best safety, etc etc. But, compared to orig stock examples out there, how can I preserve its value? Do tracked Zs fetch much less than stockers if not abused? For example, will cuttin…

Put some on about 10 days ago and finally had a reason to exercise them from a little dew and dust on the windshield. Surprise of surprises, they operated slowly, but when I turned the wipers off, they parked perfectly. It could be there was a touch of moisture left to lube the blades, so I waited until the windshield was dried by the passing wind and tried again. And again success. Has any one else cured mal-parking wipers by going back to the original configuration?

I couldn't figure out where to put this. I didn't know if anyone had a Caswell plating setup they wanted to get rid of? Thanks, Charles

i've colorized another wiring diagram and am now making it available for download. this one was much less of a headache than the '76 diagram, being about 1/3 the size and complexity. download the U.S. 1972 240z here! special thanks to EScanlon for helping me iron out a few problems with it. stay tuned for more diagrams in the future. PS: though there isn't a lot of text on it to search, it IS searchable in a pdf viewer.

Finally getting some movement on the restoration of my S30 after months of being broke. The only comfort is that my car is in Jamaica while I am working in Barbados so the distance keeps me from getting frustrated. This was the day my friend went to pick it up from the previous owner who was restoring it but had some health challenges and decided to sell it. Circumstances were not ideal but lucky me. This was months after purchasing the car and I still had not been to Jamaica to see it. This was taken by another friend while the mechanic checked on the condition of the parts provided. The plan is to keep the matching L24 and upgrade things to make it mo…
