Well after a while soul searching an many long drives I came to grips that I think the Z is at a stopping point. I will continue my projects until she is closer to 99.9% done, but I had to snag this up. Will be wiring money to the guy this week. We eshook hands and the deal is finished. Meet the Z's new mistress in the garage...

So I got heckled on e-bay while selling my NOS kick plates because of the prices that I listed. And I'm not sure if anyone on here found my ebay store. But I do sell OEM used NOS and reproduction parts. This isn't a post to solicit my store but it is just an example of the differences between NOS and Nissan reproduced. Anytime I list NOS parts and sell them, I am at a loss as far as finding that particular part again. I list NOS parts to keep them available to the public and to help the community. This is just an example of a shift knob. One that is NOS and one that is Nissan reproduction. From the parts numbers you can see they aren't the same. Take a look at the size…

In case you ever wanted to run in the East African Safari. I guess they consider the support truck and spares to be the "team" that comes with it. https://autos.yahoo.com/news/buy-datsun-260z-rally-car-team-too-210013137.html Here is a link to the auction. I'll be curious to see how close it comes to (£)180,000 - 200,000 estimate https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/1975-datsun-260z-safari-rally-car

I need another project like I need a.... In any case, on account of seeing a Z parked out front, I was offered another. I think it is a 73 model (all the tags are off, VIN is in the 130000 range). The owner started to restore it thirty years ago and stripped the body. All parts have been inside for the past 30 years as has the body. The body is farily clean for an East Coast car, but will need floor boards. There is also rust poking through over one of the rear wheel wells and in the back hatch when you lift the lid. He is asking under $2k for the package. I suspect this is a case of move on, but I wanted to ask the group what they thought. Thanks! Loudoun

http://www.autoportal.iol.pt/carros/Datsun/240Z/164240/ Stumbled on this while doing research last night. More photos in the link. Works out to about 48,000 miles on the car, and an asking price of $37k! But hey - the Euro is in your favor right now. Get it while it's hot.

Hey Z community members. There is a 280z local at my junkyard with low miles. I did go and harvest parts I thought were worth pulling. If anyone needs anything I'm willing to go back and pull some more reasonably sized parts. I'd rather see parts go to someone who needs them then the car get crushed and wasted. You can check the prices on picknpulls website in portland oregon south and see the vehicle. All I'll need is a couple gallons of gas and maybe 10-20 bucks for my time.

Just about have my 71 ready for the road, and cant find anything to clean the rear hatch glass. The car sat in a carport in the fresno heat for over 15 years, and now it has a baked on ? Tried a few things (mostly on the outside) with not much luck, and I am trying to be careful about the defrost strips. Any help or suggestions always greatlyappreciated. ;0)

Hello, I started a 260z project 11 years ago and it is time to let go. I had high hopes and am probably 95% there but the cops are on me to get the car out of my driveway by the end of the month. I don't have a garage (my shop) and no other place to store it. And I don't have the energy to finish it. I am going to part the car out if I cannot find someone wanting to finish it. I have lot's of extra parts also. Located in Contra Costa County, N. California. Complete car including: 260Z block rebuilt, N42 Head, 3 screw SU's with Z-Therapy bodies rebuilt using replated parts; replated hose clamps, rods, springs, etc.; polished valve cover; set of Konig Rewin…

I'm on the prowl to find vent hose 17238-E4602, the large diameter horseshoe shaped hose, less than 2 feet long which runs from expansion tank to fitting on filler neck. I've called Nissan (US and Canada), Motorsport Auto, Black Dragon and the rest of the top Z retailers in the country without any luck. Does any one have any suggestions where I might be able to find this part? Or does anyone have a new hose laying around their stash of parts they would be willing to part with? Any insight or recommendations are appreciated. Don
