All: Here are a few photos of my recent gas tank restoration. My tank was a real wreck with severe rust pitting where the mounting straps went. You could see daylight when looking through the filler neck. Try as I might I couldn't find a suitable replacement. That left me no choice but to weld on patches. Welding on a gas tank isn't exactly a good idea so you can imagine I was pretty nervous. To prepare the tank I cleaned it up, rinsed it several times, blew a lot of compressed air through it and then filled it with argon. Everything went well and I didn't blow up. I will be lining the tank prior to installation. Enjoy the pictures!

I need help finding a supplier for the two 90 deg. elbow fuel lines at the fuel pump for my '75 280Z. One connects the fuel pump to the fuel tank and the other connects fuel pump to the fuel damper.

I found out that John Williams passed away today after a long illness. John was a long time Z car mechanic, racer & enthusiast. There are quite a few threads on this board talking about John or recommending him for Z maintenance in and round the Atlanta area. Not too long ago, some members of the Georgia Z Club got together to work on one of John's cars for him. Fortunately they got it finished in time for him to enjoy it some. John will be missed.

so on this new site my signature picture is gone and when i try to edit it and re-insert the picture i hit a dead end. the only tool i can find is the "image" button in the little tool box above the edit window (the little blue/white square below the smiley face emoticon) but when i click it, i just get a box that says "image properties" and the opportunity to insert a url address... but my pics are on my computer - not online. am i completely stupid?? ok, don't answer that - just tell me how to put a !@#$% picture in my signature...

I have dual Spal fans and a 3 core aluminum radiator for my car. The fans are a little over 4 inches. It doesn't seem like the fans will fit. I've seen pictures where there are fans and an aluminum radiator. Does anybody have this setup or have any info? Thank you very much.

I would like to purchase and install a cold air intake for my 1975 280Z which is currently stock. I was hoping someone would have experience with this kind of bolt-on upgrade and whether it was worth it and also if they could recommend the best manufacturer out of the many choices out there.

I do have a fuel smell in the cabin of my car: I expected to take off the panels at the back and find a bunch of rotten hoses. But they look pretty good as you can see from the attached pictures. The hoses are pretty hard, are the cloth hoses very pliable when new? There is one long line that runs along the back panel that goes through the floor that should have a grommet at the floor but doesn't, not pictured. I might try just changing this and renewing the grommet to see how it does. Are there any of the lines that cause particular problems?
