I need to figure out if the door windows are the same between 1974-76 model ad 77-78 model. I know the doors and mechanism are completely different.

I do have a fuel smell in the cabin of my car: I expected to take off the panels at the back and find a bunch of rotten hoses. But they look pretty good as you can see from the attached pictures. The hoses are pretty hard, are the cloth hoses very pliable when new? There is one long line that runs along the back panel that goes through the floor that should have a grommet at the floor but doesn't, not pictured. I might try just changing this and renewing the grommet to see how it does. Are there any of the lines that cause particular problems?

Hey y'all. Sorry, I don't know much about forum ettiquette as this is the first one I've joined.The guy said that everything under the hood was perfect, but after driving it for a week, I'm seeing that the carb intakes are leaking gas and the gaskets leading into the engine are wet with gas as well. I'm kind of a novice (at the Forum thing as well as owning a datsun/working on my car) so any pointers would be appreciated! I really want to do the car justice! - Josh Info: Original Engine - 90k miles Idle - 1500, sometimes dips down to lower 1000s Anything else that's relevant?

I have a question that hopefully some one can answer. The 240z has triple side draft weber carbs, The distributor on the car is still the original point syle vacuum advance unit. I cannot advance the timing enough without causing problems with pinging and hard starting. The 240z runs ok but has flat spots under hard accelleration. Should I look for a Mallory mechanical advance distributor or intall the euro 22100-E3101? My understanding is the 22100-e3101 is a single point distributor with a quicker advance curve.There is not a port on the intake for the vac. line to the distributor.

For the last several years, I have been in love with the 240 260 and 280z. I have saved every dime I've earned from my minimum wage job since last year, and I have accumulated around $6000. I've always known I wanted a Z for my first car, but now the time has finally come. I've reached driving age, and I've learned how to drive a stick shift. I was looking for advice. I'm particularly interested in the 280z, due to its larger engine, gearbox, and fuel injinjection. What would be a good price on a decent shape 280? Also, I'm interested in upgrading it slightly. I have never seen this configuration on an L6 before. Must have been a real slug engine offered in the lower end cars. Hard to believe they're still floating around out there. Must have been sitting in the back of some warehouse covered in an inch of dust.

Does anyone have a part number and source for the small light bulbs that are used in the console indicators for Choke, Fasten Seat Belt, and Rear Window Defrost switch. Mine just say 1.5 watts, 12 volts. Car is a '72. I've searched without any luck so far. Thanks.

I am looking for the Nissan part number to the mechanical fan blade shown below. This fan sits back the furthest on the clutch (furthest away from radiator). I have seen multiple part numbers, just want to be sure I have the correct one. Also, what is best place to buy one at lowest price? Thanks!
