My oem radiator is not cooling enough, especially on the highway when driving above 75 mph for longer than 5 minutes it gets to hot, the needle on the dash goes almost all the way to the right. I want to keep the Original radiator instead of an aluminium one, I have found a good radiator shop, but they charge 350 EURO for re-coring ex tax. Would this be worth it ? The better aluminium radiators including shipping will be the same price or more, only the cheaper aluminium aftermarket radiators would be a cheaper option right now. What would you guys advice ? Or is there anyone here who has a good oem 240z radiator for sale willing to ship overseas ? Gr Bart

Hello everyone. I am putting together a 72 Z I bought disassembled. The PO had the car sandblasted, and then topped off with 1 coat of paint. Eveyrthing is in pieces except that it's a roller, doors and brake, and fuel lines. I wanted to start with putting the body back together but my friend suggested to get it running first which makes sense. Below is the steps I will take to bring the z back to life. -Start off with installing the fuel tank, and all accompanying hoses and vapor canister. -radiator and components. -install new seals on the engine. -check engine main bearings(PO had engine rebuilt a few years back and never ran) -new clutch and hardware -new seals on tra…

I heard this song on Octane called coconut dracula. It was a catchy tune, but seriously what the heck is a "coconut dracula". Since I'm not up on the latest slang I decided to google the phrase. I never did get an answer to my question, but check out the cover art for their album. I like them more already! Islander: Violence & Destruction CD - Victory Merch

I was curious and got the car weighed. There were no attempts at weight savings here. The car has power locks, power windows, larger battery, sound deadening material, aftermarket seats (not sure if thats + or -), a false 3/4" wood floor in back, speakers, amp, tools, about 1/2 tank of gas and my cup of coffee . Any weight savings would be from my removing the hideous bumpers and spare tire. The motor is a 2.8l with dual weber dvg carbs and an unknown 5sp transmission. Hopefully this helps somebody

Can you re-tumble the ignition, door locks, and hatch locks so that they match? I'm having a tough time finding a lock set. No problems finding pieces individually, but of course, they are all keyed different.

so i purchased a 77 z in january and have been just lightly working with the car trying to fix the years of neglect and trying determine if the problems im facing could be related or if i just have a few multiple. also ive been sifting through the posts on here and cant seem to find answers to what im trying to fix. so im posting a new thread. so to start off this car sat for at least 3 years, runs and drives as well. however running is running but not running well. the car has a poor idle and has quite a bit of hesitation. until reaching about 2500 rpm. and also backfires. exhaust and intake. when the water temp sensor is unplugged it runs a lot better with little to n…

I have a 9/'76 N47 cylinder head with a "B" internal oil cam with spray bar. I would like to know, before I call, if my thinking is correct. I want the Stage III grind on my cam using my rockers and lash pads as well as the cam towers to be installed on an E31 head. Is this the way to do it or am I wrong? Will I send them my rockers or should I get their's? lash pads? Thanks to anybody that can steer me the right way, Cliff

This must have made the rounds before but I don't find it here. From SoCal, a Maxima FWD VG turbo hanging from the hindquarters of an otherwise uniquely modified Z. Any further details? Another VG under the hood? From I went to Bob's Big Boy tonight Oddimotive: Irvine Cars and Coffee sightings: August 24, 2013

I'm headed to Vegas next week for a couple days. Never been there before and I'm looking for suggestions. Anything Z related there that I have to do while I'm out there? I'm flying both ways, so it's not like I can carry a hood home with me, but are there good junkyards in the area that I could peruse while I'm there? I'm so used to seeing nothing but new cars in the yards around me because everything else rusts to death. Anyone here local to the Vegas area? I've started a list and here's some of things I'd like to try to find time to do: Grand Canyon Hoover Dam Banger Brewing (Found lots of "brewpubs", but this one seems like beer is primary and gambling is secondary) Te…

I'm trying to get ahold of member wingzro, I paid for an ANSA exhaust but haven't heard from him in a while...I'm really hoping I didn't just get screwed over. I know the guy was busy, I'm not jumping to any conclusions. Has anyone spoke to him or received any products from him lately?

I am not a Rockauto employee. I do get their updates. I thought this maybe of interest to those seeking stock parts. I have bought parts from them that could not be found anywhere else. RockAuto Auto Parts
