Could someone tell me or have a pic where the squirter nozzle on the passenger side attaches to the firewall. I'd be kinda hard to explain it i guess. Thank you, Timsz

Hi, All, As promised on my previous thread from October, I am planning to do another group buy for the members of the CZCC for chrome plating of both plastic and metal Z car parts. During the past few months, we've been able to overcome some logistics hurdles that will enable me to provide the service for non-US customers as well. The prices will continue to be very low, as was the case during the first group buy. However, I did have to increase the price on a couple of items as I wasn't able to cover my hard costs on those specific items. As was the case last time, your satisfaction is guaranteed on all orders. Unfortunately, as was also the case last time, I've not ye…

Posted this over on the hybridz.org site, but figured I'd try my luck here as well, apologies if this is against the rules, I'll remove this if it is: First post but I figured I would get the best help here. I have stumbled upon a 1977 280z running on a Chevy 350. I messeged back and forth with the owner and we are setting up a time this weekend for me to stop by and check her out. I am here asking if there is anything in particular I want to check with a 350 swap, and what in general I should check on the car. So far my list is as follows: Check for rust -Floor pans "in/out" -Frame Railes "undersides" -Rocker Panels. -Battery Area -Trunk/hatch latch C…

I am wondering about dash cap quality from American Dash. This will be the second cap I have installed on my 78 280. The first warped . It came from MSA but was my bad as I left in the sun with out gluing down first. The American Dash cap is $40 higher and a little more freight but ad says heat resistant. Just wondering if American Dash is worth the extra money. Any thoughts or first hand knowledge about the American brand will be great. I have read somewhere that the caps are all made by the same company and if so might as well buy the cheap one. Thanks JB

My series one car heater is not working. The valve has been replaced, and I suspect the heater core. It is not leaking, so I think I am going to pull it out and see what I have. Can a heater core be redone at a good radiator shop, or should I try to find a replacement? If so, who might have them. I will replace the valve again while I am there, I guess. Anything else I should do while there? Any one have a good link to replacing a heater core? I have pulled it out before, but it has been a long time and I am much older now! Thanks, and any advice is appreciated, Bob

For those aware of my bad luck, an update on the engine block. I haven't pulled it apart yet but there is a hole about 2 inches by three inches long just behind the driver side motor mount. I have a certified welder friend who looked at it and didn't even blink when he said he could fix it. He'd weld a plate in it, epoxy the inside and said it would go forever. Assuming the cylinder is ok, here's the question: Because it is a 43K mile car, does it make any difference at all if I just replace the entire engine, which means I no longer have matching numbers, or do I repair the block to keep the matching numbers? Ultimately, does anyone really care on a 42 year old car…

Hi all, It's been a while since I've visited this site and I must say I have waned in my resto project. However, I have been digging around in the garage and with renewed vigor, are now slowly getting back into it. I've been sifting through boxes of fasteners that I cleaned, buffed and had re electroplated. Issue I have is that the paper notes I made of what goes where has faded enough that I haven't a clue of what goes where. To cut a long story short, has anyone gone thought the fasteners on a S30 and cataloged what goes where based on machine screw head number, size and length. Many thanks if you can help. James

Even my wife noticed that my clothes did not smell like exhaust after driving now. Over the winter I removed my vapor tank and gas tank to POR15 them – It’s one of those “while I am at itâ€ things, so I might as well tackle the vapor hoses. Be sure to follow this thread as well - http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/tech-pubs-howto/25857-rating-factory-240z-fuel-vent-hoses.html I replaced all hoses with nice new fuel hosing – two were Nissan replacement parts – the rest were not I have driven with the windows up - one window down - and both windows down. Exhaust smell is 99% gone...... Here you go if this can help somebody else - make sure you ONLY USE FU…

It's been a while since I posted an update so I thought I would through up a few new pics and some somber news. We'll start with the good stuff, after reconstructing the front end and putting her all back together I had been slowly fixing things and making her look prettier. Here's how she looked when I put her back on the road after over a decade of slumber. And after a little buffing and having driven her for a couple months. getting tired of not making much progress on shining up the paint and removing the years of oxidation I got myself a 7" buffer and a nice wool pad, I think she's starting to look pretty good all things considered. And today I got around …

Has anyone seen these filler pieces between the headlight buckets and the airdam? I seen this car online and really like the look. They might be custom but I was wondering if anyone has seen them for sale.
