Cooling fans 1 2

Looking to hang a new aluminum radiator and put two 10" fans on it, as it seems they are about as big as you can double up on. I plan to put one on a thermal switch, turning on at 180, and the other manually controlled for when I am stuck in traffic, or running canyons, or a hot summer day. Looking to see if anyone has input on this setup or has any ideas for me. Thank you

Just thought I'd do a follow up on a post I made a little over two years ago. I wrote about Nevr-Dull and Plasti-Dip: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/open-s30-z-discussions/43443-two-favorite-cosmetic-uses.html Two years later, going on three to four years after application, the Plasti-Dip is still a nice, solid black, unfazed by washing or heavy sun exposure. So here in Seattle there are quite a few self righteous cyclists that think they do not have to follow the rules of the road and take responsibility for there own safety. It's a common complaint I have. Today on my way home from work I see a bike commuter approaching my car from behind and he stops next to me and places a hand on the roof of my car for balance. I'm thinking to myself "oh no not again". I roll down my window and he looks in and says "the right brake light is burnt out on you're very nice car" then he proceeded on his way after the light changed. Well I guess they are not all bad.

There's one listed on ebay if anyone is interested in finding one. Price is kind of steep for a car that needs totally restored but it looks like a good candidate. Good thing I've already got two not running.

The newer (+60s) Jags appear to have the same 8mm x 1.25 thread pattern as the 240z's. Anyone tried one?

Hi All, I just got my car (71' 240z) back from paint/body and the guys at the shop lost a few little things. I now need: a. 1 wiper nut (I have the other) b. The hatch lock gasket c. 1 small rubber block mount for where the front bumper bolts to the fender (I have the other). Please message me if you have any of the above. Thanks, E

Hi all, I have been playing with a table listing "all" the variations of the L-series engine in the S30 and S130 model range. I started it for myself to try and get a better understanding of when and what changed. The table (Timeline) is by no means complete. If anyone has any information or finds any errors I would like to hear it. Up to now its just information I have read in forums of manuals over the years. Now Im trying to fill the gaps. It looks like geezer tried to make a similar Timeline before. Im want to try and do the engine, thats a big enough undertaking. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/zcar-history-forum/24478-timeline-chart.html Thanks for any help. L-En…

Love the wording in this. Hints at just how hard it was to get a Z back in the day.

Hey guys. Klearz is back in the Z scene, ready to serve you. As some of you know we already produce many lenses for Datsuns, but we are looking at filling some more gaps. We can also reproduce any small plastic parts, doesn't have to be clear. But we don't do chrome. We do all our casting in house, so there are no long delays usually associated with overseas production. We can also get away with doing much smaller runs. Small projects can be started with some interest from the forum and donor parts, that's about it. Bigger pieces like tail lights might need a bit more organizing. Let me know what you guys think Please let me know if this post goes against forum rules.

Guys, After recently spending 15K on a complete tear 3 year down with concours quality body restoration on my 1/1970 240Z, I came to realize that the shade of red that was sprayed did not match the original paint shade as delivered from the factory ! This is driving me nuts ! What the painter used was a water based PPG that is more of a Ferrari red than than the red/orange Datsun supplied (I was convinced he had the correct shade until I discovered original paint afterward under a place covered by the dash). Now since this was my original car from high school owned since 1983, it has become an obsession of originality and utmost restoration for me. I have every nut bolt…

We we finally got a break in the lake effect snow machine this morning and towed the 73 home. First we meet the owners of over 30 years at the DMV to get an new title made and transferred. Great stories of it's past. Looks as though it spent it's whole life in Michigan. Once done at the DMV, my son and I headed two miles away to where the Z was. We had to brush snow off it and break the tires loose from the frozen ground. It had always be stored inside or under a tarp the last 5 years, but hey didn't cover it because they knew we were coming. Once we got it rolling on to some pavement it sat real nice. We hooked up the tow strap around both frame mounts for the front bu…
