Can anyone help me out with a pic of a early 70 series one Rubber Hood adjuster? I understand it is different than the later Rubber Hood adjusters in that it is one solid rubber piece molded into the bolt vs slipped over the top of the bolt. Steve

Or least that's what popped into head as I looked at my gas soaked fender wondering if what just happened hurt anything. Back up a month or so when this crazy relationship started, or even farther back when it truly started. My brother bought this car, its an early 260z, 13 years ago, we enjoyed it for awhile but after the struts went bad he stopped driving it and started considering doing a full tilt build, and installing a SBC. He got distracted by other projects and never did much with this one I was a small child at the time but really loved the car. As I got older I almost ended up with it at 16 but it never went through. Well I now gave become very mechanicaly incli…

I can't figure out where these go. There are two of them. Are they for the end of the emergency brake cable? Where are they attached?

I have often touted the 'Power of Many' on this site. Time after time the 'Zed Collective Conscience' has helped solve each others problems, so now I am seeking some answers... I have a stock 1978 280z that I have restored a few years ago. Everything has been fine except recently after the car gets warm (not even hot) the engine just dies. When the engine first starts, it is immediate and idles fine but is a little rich (although that may have been corrected with the recent TPS adjustment). Once the Z warms up -as in less than two miles of driving - it dies. It does not diesel or pop, which would make me think fuel or AFM. It seems more electronic as if someone discon…

Anybody get the name of the show? The muscle car-bound Velocity channel actually broadcasted a program other than Mecum auctions and Overhaulin'....and guess what??? It was about JAPANESE classic cars!!! Whoooppeeee!!! I couldn't believe it, I just arrived back in town from a week with the relatives and turned on the TV to see Z cars and Skylines and Japanese people speaking what else? JAPANESE! With subtitles even. I thought it was a programming glitch...but now I can't find the show anywhere in the programming guide (which doesn't show anything from yesterday, only future schedules). I've searched their website up & down and I can't find anything. I'm certain that i…

In the repair manual it shows the rubber O-ring for the fuel sending unit on the outside of the unit. In between the fuel sending unit and the lock ring. Is that right? It doesn't seem like it would seal, being put together like that. Any help? thank you.

On collecting cars for future value.... The least produced model and year seems to be the 260z 2+2. Is this worth collecting based on rarity or are the 2+2's uglier and less sporty features the main factors that will outweigh any collectible value.
