I have an envelope with front fender marked on it. There are 6 of these with plastic washers and bolts with an allen wrench. Are they for the front fender for my 71 Z? Thank you, TimsZ

I bought this car in pretty good condition in 1986, rebuilt the engine, replaced suspension/brakes, floor and frame. I moved away for work and the car has been stored in a heated garage since 1989. The garage owners have sold their house. Keeping it isn't practical for me anymore so I'd like to get it back into shape and pass it along to another appreciative owner. It will need work, so I would welcome any insight and experiences for restoration. I don't have the funds to do a complete restoration, but would at least like to get it functional and in sellable condition. That's the sound that came from the rear of the car as I came around the "half pipe" turn at Oregon Raceway Park. Immediately I put the clutch in which made the whining noise go away and got a flat tow back into the paddock. Jacked the car up and with the transmission in neutral the rear wheels will spin forward but lock in reverse. We disconnected the rear shafts so we could get the car off the trailer once we got home. This weekend I plan to drop the diff and start poking around. Has anyone seen this issue before? My friend has a long-term project car in his shop that he did rust repair on and painted a very red color. Now, the project is essentially done, but it will not start. I would like to do Mark a favor for all of the favors he has done me. So, I want to have a BBQ at his shop and gather all of you Z car experts, especially the EFI guys. It is a 280Z with LJet... He has the factory service manual... Before the critics start in, this project was a favor, he does mostly rust repair and modifications. Besides, my 240Z, he has not really even seen a Z except when I had the Carb Clinic at his shop with Keith Franck...

I posted what I know about my car in my "Series I or II?" thread, but didn't have pics initially. My car is heading to the paint and body shop next week, but here are some shots of the current state: Oh and by the way, I was mistaken in thinking it was originally 113 metallic green, I think it was actually 907 racing green and is currently wearing a slightly darker and cooler green (mismatch) that is not Datsun.
