Can't justify $500.00 for a NOS washer bottle? I was reading post on the site on refreshing a washer bottle and decided to give it a try. First you have to start with a viable washer bottle.

I'm looking to purchase my first 240z, but the one i have my eye on is in Chicago (i'm in los angeles). I would like to hire someone to go check the car out, to make sure everything is in good condition (no rust, etc.). of course i am willing to pay for this service, but the caveat is, the auction ends in 5 days, so i would need someone to do this as soon as possible - any recommendations? Thanks!

Hello Z community, Picked up this '73 240 Z about a month ago. CA, original paint (112 Lime) low mile example. This is what is looked like when I bought it. The first things I removed were: 1. Sheepskins. 2. Aftermarket CD stereo, speakers and wiring. 3. Chrome mudflaps. 4. Side protective mouldings. 5. Chrome bumper overriders. 6. Dash cover. 7. License plate frames. Should have put in a pile, taken a picture and weigh, but didn't think about it before I trashed most of what's listed here.

I have had several discussions recently about Modified Z cars, and whether or not they are still Zs. I know what I think, but what do you guys think? What makes up the Zness in a Z? What modifications don't affect its heritage?? What modifications do??

Hello all I am new to this site. I was informed by others this is the place to be Ok starting from point A to B I will post updates on my 240Z I have bought. Anyhow I bought the 240Z off of a kid that bought it at a real estate auction. The car has a very cool story. Any and all info you have would be great! Story: An older guy did a complete restoration on this car with many extras. once he completed his project he went to get it inspected. Once he got it inspected he passed away. Back story - I've been a Z-lover forever and have had several, including this '73 that I've drug around for nearly 20 years. It's been a "filler" project between other interests and cars but is now - finally - at the paint stage. The other issue is that the build is partially sponsored by Dupli-Color and I'm using their new line of lacquer-based "Color Shop" pre-mixed paints, which come in a rainbow of popular colors. Just for fun though, I decided to custom-mix a color by mixing their Silver Metallic with their Deep Blue Metallic to come up with a unique color which both have pearls in them, adding another dimension.
