I'm saving these up for a resto thread, but I made some real progress this weekend and wanted to share. The first photo shows the mess I started with. There was a lot of rust and I had to cut out a lot of the frame. Then I sandblasted and rustproofed what was left. I fabricated a replacement that wraps around the remnants of the original frame. The final photo shows the new floor pan in place. I still have some figuring and fit up to do, but I hope to start welding it in tomorrow. Disclaimer: If you're inclined to be critical, please don't. I am not a professional. I know my welds are ugly so you don't need to tell me!

I have done a little searching today and I cannot find any specs for the various fluids for my 280z. This car has been sitting in my garage for over 10 years now and I need to get it running and possibly sell it. I need to know engine oil spec and amount trans oil, clutch cyl fluid?, differential oil...etc some of the other threads on cleaning gas tank and adding filter were very helpful.... any other suggestions are welcome. thanks Marv

Ive found a couple searching online, but it doesnt give me a good idea of what it will look like on mine. Do any of you have pictures of your 240 with rear hatch louvers and a BRE spoiler? Even if you dont, let me know what you guys think of having them both on a Z. Thanks for the help!

Ontario Z Car Club had its 20th Anniversary Z Fest today, I don't know the numbers but it was a big show. These are a few of the nice Zs that were around me, I had to stop taking pics a certain point because there were just too many people around the cars.

Hey Guys, I met up with a fellow Z driver and drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon, a 15-mile run southeast of Salt Lake City with a total elevation change of over 4000 feet. We were up for a good cruise, and trying to get some sweet photos. Here's what I managed with my phone. We also took another drive through Butterfield Canyon, a low elevation canyon near the copper mines in the southwest region of the valley. I haven't gone through the photos there yet. It was raining, and made for quite an exciting drive through wet, narrow, tree lined roads that are not common in Salt Lake. My buddies car is a 280z, NA. We purchased our cars about the same time last year. Its …

The Z is at the local shop for exhaust and brake work, and the EGR tube on the manifold is rotted out. (EGR Tube A - Federal Emissions) Since Illinois requires emissions testing, I don't think I should block it off - Courtesy has it listed as NLA, and MSA wants 80 bucks - Zcarsource wants 85. Anyone have a used, good tube for sale, or know another place I can look for one? My brake master cylinder is also shot. The vacuum booster is ok, but the MS will need to be replaced. I know some people swap to a larger MS, but this car is casual street driven only. Is there anything specific I should look for in a replacement? I could probably just have the shop order an afterm…
