Going to swap out my 240z water inlet for a new one, so it's a good time to put some new hoses - the lower one, maybe a NAPA or Autozone, don't remember, fairly new but it's bulging a little. Any find some they like? The nice repro braided ones are out due to cost, also the Mishimoto silicon (they look good though). Don't mind paying 25 instead of 12 if it's better. Here's what I found: MSA upper 16-7201 for $18.87, lower 16-7202, $22.63. Black Dragon upper 54-500 for $21.95, lower 54-505, 11.95 Gates VulcoFlexII 13x1.25 for $24.96(says it replicates angles of OE but it's flex?) Dayco upper $17.63 Goodyear upper $11.95 AC Delco upper (looks flex?) $18.49 Also checked …

Ive been trying to find out what kind of spoiler and air dam are on this z, but I cannot find anything. It looks similar to the BRE style, but is a bit different. the air dam is much more subtle, and the sides of the spoiler angle in towards the middle more. does anyone know what they are? Heres the link to the entire gallery thanks!

Been a while since I was there and decided to peruse the list today. Got in okay, and thinking I was looking at a working copy, I found column A to be empty. Stupidly, I decided to hide the column. When I did, an error message appeared and the page froze. I tried reloading the web page, but I only get a message that the file is transferring. Sorry Mr. Williams no harm was meant.

The story goes I bought a 73 240z with 280zx turbo pieces and a wiring harness & ecu from a 79 280z. While the car was in my mechanics possession the car suddenly died while he was testing it out. Instead of finding out why it died he decided to proceed to install an 83 turbo wiring harness & ecu. He couldn't get it running and says the car now has no spark. I had the car towed back to my house where I have been doing other things to it. I'm a dummy when it comes to wiring and would gladly pay someone who knows what he's doing to get this car back on the road. The car hasn't ran in over a year and the only time I've driven it was right after I bought it. It's kill…

I got up too early this morning not to share these. Yes, it was done with a crappy camera, a crappy cameraman, and an over-used industrial setting. Either way, I like them.

I dropped by the Barnes and Noble to check out their magazine selections and ran across Classic Motorsports September issue. Headlining on the cover was "Golden Opportunities: 18 Classic Cars you should buy RIGHT NOW! Surprise, surprise! The Series I 240Z was first on their list. Their shopping advice: "You'll want to buy a 1970 model. That was the first production year, and those cars also have a few unique properties. Don't plan on making money by restoring one of these. To that end, don't buy a modified car, one wearing non-original color, or on that's rusty. Maximum value will be for unrestored cars or one of the examples that Nissan restored in the '90s. (For a whil…

First time post, been lurking for a while now. About to finally become an owner of a 77' 280Z! The car is actually being given to me by a very close family friend. She is retiring and moving back home to her motherland. While having dinner at a family function, asked what she was going to do with her late husband's Z which has been sitting for months now. She said if I wanted it, she'd be more than happy to sign it over (: She said it starts but it hasn't been driven in a while. I am fairly new to the Z world and have been trying to read up on modifications and maintenance. My first step is to make sure the car is as reliable as I could possibly make it before executing b…

pick it up a few months ago. Plans are: car will be striped (just got a few lines to remove left actually) down to the bare unibody, then take car of all the rusted panels, remove all the old paint down to the bare metal including the under coating, primer and paint (i'll be learning how to spray on this one, whatchout!!), im thinking a dark silver. suspension will be mostly stock with all bushings replaced by polyurethane bushing and im thinking illuminas and linear springs of a good brand and plenty of drop, these is still on the drawing board, lately i've been thinking about s13 coilover conversion but idk... Engine is apperantly in really good shape, I got good number…

I want to use a tow dolly to move a rolling 73 240Z parts car with relatively little structure rust about 20 miles. The car has no engine and the driveshaft and transmission are out. With the car not running how do I get the car up on the dolly? Can I use a come along? Can I jack it up and put it on two jack stands behind the front wheels on the tension control rod mounts and back the dolly underneath the front wheels that way? I wonder if the jack stands would get in the way of the dolly if I do that. I have read other threads and info on the net, no one says how you do this so it must be either really easy or impossible. There is no bumper so I can't use a tow ba…
