Just a quick note of thanks to all the members of the club, without your help and valuable advice I could have never completed my Z "refresh" project. I only have the A/C to evac and recharge and she is basically done. Unfortunately I have to sell her on to someone who might appreciate a classic Z car, I hate to see her go. Once again thanks for the help.

I'm trying to get my mostly stripped 1976 280z up on my rotisserie. The front was easy but the back not as much. Is it ok to use the shock absorbing rear bumper mounts as a hard point to marry up with the rotisserie. I really don't want to custom fabricate something at this point. My skills aren't up to it (yet) and I don't want my project to get bogged down.

I went through the archives and tried to find a thread that had nothing but pictures of all the original decals for our Z cars and could not find one thread for that topic. Unfortunatly I do not have any original decals to share but would like to have a link that would referrence all the pictures. 1) Please post what you have so we can have one location for nothing but original decals and placements. If your decal's are not original please do not post your picture. This will be excellent for future reference to see the correct color - font - size - shape - and so forth......again, if it's not orginal please do not post. 2) Please reference the correct placeme…

Just got an email from Hagerty News...... "Fuel efficient Classics" lists the early Z's getting 22-25 mpg's. I remember back in 72, my 4 speed Z getting 27 mpg on Sunoco, Shell and Citgo regular gas.

Hi, Everyone, As a logical extension of the regular chrome plating service that I have mentioned in previous threads, I have recently been able to acquire some cores of a few hard to find parts and have had them re-plated. Specifically, I've been able to put together a total of 5 sets of tail light bezels for the 260z/280z and have decided to offer them for sale on a core-exchange basis. These sets are available for purchase at $240. for a set of two with a core exchange. ($300 without your good cores). At this time, they are being offered exclusively here at CZCC as I've had numerous requests for these in the past but simply didn't have sets of quality cores at the ti…

It has been said many times about our hobby, “the best part is not the cars, it’s the people you meet along the way.â€ This quote bears truth in spades in my life and I know it has been the same for many of you as well. This past weekend it came true once again for me. A little background, the weekend before last I attended a Datsun/Nissan get together that Mike W organized with Town North Nissan here in Austin. The turn out was really good and it was great to connect with Mike and other owners, talk shop, etc. As a bonus Mike informed that Philip (Blue here on the boards) was at the event as he had been in Houston for business. For those that may not know, Blue…

Some of you may have seem my thread over in Body and Paint on rebuilding my 71' that's been sitting in my garage for almost 6 years. You guys can see the resurrection of the previously doomed over here: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/body-paint-s30/49186-rebuilding-my-71-a.html She had been in a bad accident and was very poorly repaired, now sporting a new front end from a younger girl but it suites her well I'd like to start a new thread documenting getting her back on the road. so far I've gotten the brakes rebuilt, gas tank cleaned out and reinstalled to include removing the evap system by capping the extra vent lines on the tank. Refurbed the new to me differ…

So I'm going down my list of various items that I need to purchase now or eventually for my restoration. I went through the usual suspects (MSA, ZCarSource, etc), and then I went digging on RockAuto. I've bought small bits from them over the past year or so, and for the most part they're pretty good, but when it comes to more important functional pieces (see below) I'm wondering what other's experiences are with ordering their parts. Particularly, I'm looking at the stuff like Reman loaded brake calipers: More Information for CENTRIC 14242012 More Information for RAYBESTOS RC3028 Reman master brake cylinder More Information for CENTRIC 13042601 More Information for DORMAN…
