I am looking for a good source for door weatherstripping for my 71 240z. I bought some from MSA but I am returning them because they are to wide and the doors won't close properly. Any suggestions?

Hey all, Just thought I'd share this cool pic a co-worker took in the parking lot at work last night. This is my '71 blue on blue 240! . Here's another from the front, The hood got damaged in storage last year. Enjoy!

I was out the Midwest Z show here in Indiana this past weekend. Great show for those who missed it. For some reason ,that I won't go into detail about, I had two cars at this show. My DD winded up there and I needed to get it home. A good friend that owns a 911 came out to see the cars and so I enlisted him to get my car home. The bait was a free dinner and he would get to drive my Z! I've been wanting someone to drive it while I followed along. I always wanted that perspective to see how my car looked and hear how it sounded going down the road. It was a 17 mile windy beautiful road and my buddy didn't mind using up all my gas slamming the throttle:) It was all good th…

I haven't been around for a few years, but I figured maybe posting something would help me make some decisions. The 280Z hasn't really been driven for the last couple of seasons because it's in need of work - work that is now far more difficult for me to do since having had surgery and hurting my back...and then the packing on of the pounds that came with sitting around all the time. The stress of ending a relationship spanning 11 years, and then the joy of starting a new one that seems to be such a better fit for me. Countless house to house moves. Never seems to be enough time in a day, anymore. The last time I ran it was last fall, when I moved, yet again. I had …

This is gonna sound real dumb, but I'm trying to remove my shift knob to restor it, and it doesn't want to go. I've been working at it for days, I've tried rubber, leather, wrenches, it's maybe moved a quarter inch up the shaft. Anyone know a good safe-for-the-knob way to get it off? Right now it's soaking up some WD 40, and I'm all out of ideas.

Started cleaning up the engine and when I removed the fan pulley this water pump was under. Is this OEM? I have had a few engines apart and never seen one like this.

My '77 280z has some frame rot, as do most other z's of course. I've been considering what to do about it for the past few weeks. I will be taking some pictures of the damage and posting them here in the morning so you guys can get a better look. But it's mostly localized in the front of the car, the front frame rails are rusty, and on the drivers side section where the sway bar mount is bolted on has a pretty sizable hole. The drivers side wheel well also has some rot, a hole about 2" in diameter. I work at Advance Auto, and have been speaking to my mechanic customers, and a few welders and have been asking them about my Z issues. Most of them say that it's unrepairable…

I know this is going to be a stupid question to most. Was there ever an option for a sun roof in the 1972 240Z's? Just wondering...because I have one... - Ian

Hi all. I had a kid drive up to my house today and try to sell me his 260. I am not interested, b/c I already have 2 240's. I did tell him, however, that I would tell the club about it. I am not making money, just trying to help. I will post pics on another post, but here are the details: Has a mutt motor, with oil leak at VC needs floors has small rust hole in tire well needs new hood, and drivers side fender. Hood is dented from a deer, and the rocker portion of the fender shows rust. Car runs/drives - has toyo brakes on front, new struts on rear. He wants 1200.00 I didn't tell him how much he might get. Car is in Cumming, GA, north of Atlanta. NM- cant' get camer…
