A few weeks ago I traded in my 2015 Pathfinder for a Frontier Pro-4X Crew Cab. There was a poster on the wall and I said "doesn't that go with my new truck?". They took down the poster and gave it to me.

got the new starter in, warm engine, #6 was 165 psi, all the rest were about the same but now #4 is 125 argh!!! did a wet test, no change, getting late, will do another leak down on #4 pretty sure its not the bottom end since there was no change with oil added to cylinder. I did a quick valve lash check on #4 all good there, even made some minor tweeks (engine was not hot or cold but warm so I aimed for the inbetween setting of .009 in and .011 out). Still no change. leak down should id the offending valve. Guess another I Italian tune up is coming.

Looking to replace my black 5-speed shift knob with a wooden type that matches the color of my faux wood steering. The site zcardepot.com has many to choose from but it’s difficult to tell from crappy low res images.

Does anyone know if there was anything between the fuel tank and the bottom of the chassis? Was there any material isolating the tank metal from the chassis? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey guys, just picked up a beautiful condition 73 240Z last week from a friend who's selling most of his classic cars. The Z has been upgraded with the 2.8L engine and 5-speed transmission and with some after market wheels that are about to be replaced next week with Konig Rewind 16x7 wheels and 215 55R 16 Kuhmo tires. Even though the car is in excellent condition I would like to have it inspected by a Z specialist here in the Los Angeles area. I've noticed the rear right side of the car is a little lower than the left rear. Perhaps saggy spring? Also Once the car is mechanically inspected I'll look to replace the seats and the mirrors with more OEM/time period piec…

I am having an issue with one of my front struts. The caliper is scraping the rotor. I am thinking the hub came off of a 280 and the strut assembly is a 240. Does anyone know if there is a difference between a 240 front hub and a 280 hub? Everything has been rebuilt and I have doubled checked the bearing races to make sure they are fully seated. It seems the hub needs to seat a little more on the spindle to allow the rotor to center in the caliper. Just wondering if anyone has come across this issue. I have a 240 parts car that I may pull the hub off and try a differrent hub. Thanks!

Just picked up a 73 240Z less than two weeks ago and looking to replace all the fluids. The car has the L28 engine upgrade, in excellent condition, but has not been driven much in the last five years. I plan on getting the car inspected by a Z specialist this week but will change the fluids myself. Any info on brand, viscosity, etc..would be appreciate it

Pretty bored waiting on the body shop. I decided to clean up my front blinkers. They cleaned up nice. I ran the plastic housing through the vapor blaster on low psi, and it removed all the overspray. I wish I had taken a before picture. They were pretty rough. The screws were rusty, and got trashed removing them. I found this nice little package of stainless screws on amazon that matched pretty well. The longest one, isnt quite as long as the OEM, but seems to work fine. Just thought I would share the link in case others need some screws. For $10, it isnt worth my time to drive around town searching for screws. I was able to reuse most of the little plastic washers. …

while on a long road trip I pulled into a stop and with the AC off (rarely around here) I pick up on a hard miss fire. AC on idle up goes largely away, Idle up take it to about 1.1k while AC is on. I do this to maintain battery voltage under the heavy load while sitting in traffic with AC on. Helps with the rad cooling as well. thoughts leaking fuel injector, result in rich idle but not enough to cause issue when more air flow at higher rates. poor spark (new plug same deal) could see a spark but did not compare to a good running plug to see if it was weak. (cap/HT lead) Compression loss (valve lash checked ok) Place your bets... My diag is …

Cars of Hershey: Purchased in 2021 Jim (VaCat33) at https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-datsun-240z-161/ Unfortunately, Datsun and Nissan vehicles were not well represented. A 1975 280Z (white with pinstriping and multiple rear bumper overrides) seems to be the only Datsun/Nissan sold. Keith

I read on Zcar.com that Z Car Source closed. I called their number, and the outgoing message confirmed it. 😞
