I finally got some time to work on my Z and pulled the interior out. I bought the car in August and it's been in a barn since 1987ish. Here's some pics of the inside and what I found under the seats. Didn't know Sonic sold cigarettes. I got the lighter to fire up with some persistence! The bracket on the transmission tunnel was for the C.B. The tool kit looks to be original and all there. What did you find under the seat of your Z when you were tearing apart?

What do you guys think of something like this? Is it remotely possible or is it just too much fab work and money involved to get it done right??

Hello all I was skimming the autometer site last night and stumbled upon this. Has anyone ever used these in a Z? They're a bit bigger then the stock pod gauges but I'm pretty sure you could transplant one into the other. Thanks Jan

I am doing a ls1 swap and am down to the body now. I took out the wiring harness, then realized I intend to swap in the entire harness from a camaro/firebird/gto. Custom dash, interior, lights, etc. Should I even bother keeping the harness?

So i recently started working on My 1978 280Z, took the motor out of the vehicle AND am doing a "refresh" of most of the components. The PO did a great job of keeping the maintenance done and the car in general is in good shape, mostly rust free. And lots and lots of original things like the brackets for the oil pan, all there! Anyway i have my block painted and just wanted to brag a bit and i also ordered a box of oil filters from Nissan and love the OEM color on them! And this is the before.... lots of you already know about this one!

I'm wondering what audio receiver & speaker you guys installed on your Z. My Z still has factory original AM/FM receiver and plan to upgrade something that I can connect my iPhone or MP3 player via AUX or Bluetooth. When I quick search, there are several modern receiver unit with old fashion design, but never heard about those manufacture. Car Selector Does anyone install this unit? I don't mind to install more cutting edge receiver, but I have no clue which one is good for cost performance. Can you show your audio system and spec? Thanks, tamo3

Could anyone tell me what this piece of metal was used for? A series of snaps have also been installed on the passenger door. A leather "satchel" with matching snap pattern also came with the car. I asked a few months ago about the snaps and Carl (Beck) wrote back and thought it was part of a rally package, which I believe to be true. Could this bar be part of the rally equipment? It has been installed to last the test of time! Any thoughts would be great. Thanks all... Tim
