Since my retrosound stopped working, I've had a lot more time to think while driving. Today, that led to a little thought I wanted to share with you folks. This year, my Z turned 40 - which is a kind of mind blowing number for me, being only 19 myself. When I'm the age of some of our older members - it'll be an astonishing 80 years old and if I'm lucky - still on the road. Here's to our cars perhaps seeing their 100th birthdays, someday? Boy, thats a long time.

Im might as well give this a try. Im from Sweden and i have bought a Datsun 240z -73 in the USA. The thing is that i would like to get to know some history of the car and i have lost the sellers number. I bought the car on craigslist in Chico. He was located in Corning and he's full name was Patrick joseph burke jr. Im just interested in some info of the car and if someone on this site live in Corning just could drop a note with my request and my emailadress (moelk1@hotmail.com)in his mailbox it would make me very happy. Best regards Andreas

We got into a discussion on a local car forum about this car. I felt the $25-35k estimated price was quite optimistic. My guess was about $15-17k tops and just wanted to know what the sale price was if there was one. I tried to find it on the site but it's not the easiest to navigate. My apologies if the price was already posted somewhere on here. Time Capsule 1973 Datsun 240Z Hits The Block

I've been receiving alot of help from these forums. So in return I would love to give back. I have a set of oem speakers for a 1978 Datsun 280z. These will be free of charge except shipping. The first person I get a PM from can have them. Shipping price shouldn't be much more then $10 dollars. Thanks again!

Hello again, The big orange van just dropped off my recently purchased 240Z formerly known as "Bakers Bully." I posted some pictures in the members area. It's a really neat little car and is nicely set up. I've found two puzzlers. I can't identify the turbocharger. Its compressor exit has an elbow cast with or welded to the main housing. I also didn't find a manufacturer name. Next, it looks like someone welded a sump extension to the oil pan. Is this common? I think the original setup ran a diesel stroker crank. Did they need the extra room? Thanks for any insight. It has turned cold here again so it will be few days before I will be spending more time in the g…

Well, I know this is not a S30 thred, but many of you own Datsun Roadster as well. Our new line of parts for Fairlady /Datsun Roadster will launch in August, braided radiator hose set. Price is TBA. Hoses for SR and SP will be available. We might come up with heater hoses as well. Again, it will be produced by the same OEM company that used to make braided hoses for Nissan.

Ok guys, My neighbor has a 72 sitting in his back yard that I been wanting to check out/buy, but I know he won't sell it, as his roommate tells me how they think its worth alot of money and he won't sell it etc.. But the roommate told me of another Z sitting in the garage across the street. I have never noticed (well I don't go around looking in people's yards.) and sure enough, I saw it. Sorry I know the picture sucks, I didn't want to look like I'm scooping out the house, and these houses are fenced off, as it is a rural area. What can you assume the year is by the rear bumper? btw here is the one in my nextdoor neighbor's yard that I'm sure is a 72 https://sphotos…

I recently bought these: Motorsport! Bullet II Chrome Mirror - The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts I searched the forum and its difficult to find pictures with these on fenders. Has anyone used these as fender mirrors? If so, pics? Your take on these as fender mirrors. Short stem I know, but I want to know if this is at least an OK mod to do.

Well, since I loaded too many pictures into my free Flickr folder, my pictures from the 2011 convention were pushed aside. Instead, I reloaded the pictures onto my blog since Wordpress will give you 3 GB for free. For a trip down memory lane, enjoy... ZCon 2011 | Fiddling With Z Cars

A few months ago I attended znationals outside Atlata ,Ga with my 71 240z. Iwas excited when I won peoples choice award for 1970-1989 cars. However in the judged class they only announced first place winners, which was not me. My question is , what criteria do they use for judging. I have been involved with other marques in the past , having participated in Concours competitions. This z event was definately not judged like a concour, but i have no clue as to what they are looking for. Is it originality?, condition?, individual taste?. I tried to get Judging sheets after the event but had no luck. Any suggestions or answers?
