Has anyone tried to rebuild their own A/C Compressor? Any luck? I didn't see any reman units at least through RockAuto.com available for my 77. I had some sort of slow freon leak. I got new hoses made and would like to complete the job with a reman compressor.

I didn't have a chance to go to Caffeine & Octane today, so I decided to create a blog post from my pictures taken at the 2010 Mitty. Pete Brock was grand marshall, and plenty of BRE tribute cars were on hand as was the Baja Z lovingly restored by Carl Beck. Enjoy! The Mitty 2010 | Fiddling With Z Cars

Was having problems with Farmers Insurance trying to add small fees on my Homeowners policy and considered switching but finally came to a consensus with them. So the 240Z has been insured and tagged and the miles are rolling on. Only a couple of small differences against my 280Z, kinda joking there, I LOVE THIS CAR. It is so much lighter feeling and way more responsive through the steering wheel but I feel all the bumps in the roads. It's my Go-Cart from childhood with a radio. If I hadn't started reading this Forum I would have never considered buying one. Thank you all!

I have 3 engines (stock/matching numbers L26 and tranny to my car, duplicate engine and tranny, and an sr20) for my 74 260z and I was curious how hard/time consuming it would be in order to do an engine swap for a "track day" or "fun run" or even if it would be worth my time to keep my extra engines around

I found a part of my car in a box today. I have been doing a staged restoration and am through the front and rear suspension and working on the brakes. The car isn't quite drivable but it does run and is very close to drivable. The part was a pretty little silver washer/shim. When I looked at the part my first thought was, "hmm...I know where this goes." Then my second thought was, "Oh sh1t!" When I realized the implications of installing said part. I thought it might be interesting to share and see what other stories people might have about things they forgot to install and found later. My part was a spacer. It goes on top of the Illumina Strut insert on my f…

I do not consider wheels when I say all original one owner car... but this is going to be curious... http://bringatrailer.com/2013/01/29/california-1972-datsun-240z/ It ticks all the right bells. One owner Original all receipts and records Unmolested Decent condition I wonder how high the bidding is going to get.

I am looking for a solution to the fuel line hose (~1/2") that comes out of the fuel tank and goes up into the fuel pump. Conventional fuel line hose wants to crimp since its virtually a 90 degree turn and does so in a short distance. I'm assuming the factory hose was formed and I can't find a part number from the fiche for the original. Actually, as far as I can tell, the microfiche doesn't show a diagram for the tanks after the 74 model. Has anyone found an acceptable alternative for this? Also the 1/2" hose seems to be acceptable for the tank connection but the fuel pump inlet appears to be just a tad smaller. Anyone know the exact sizes. I think my fuel pump is…

Hi, I was wondering if I can remove the coolant lines circled in the picture (not my car)? They look to go to the heater which I will be removing soon anyway, but are they needed to circulate the coolant properly? Thanks for the help!
