I have air condition systems in my 2 Z's. I don't want to run them so should the compressor turn or not? Keep them spinning so they want freeze up? Or take the belt off and let them rest until I want two use them. It gets hot down here so I might want them operational someday. Thanks.

I cant find the leading edge quarter window molding for my 240z. This is the rubber molding that covers the front lip,..where the quarter window meets the door frame. Does anyone know where I can find this molding?

I saw this 240Z on a trip to northern Alabama and stopped to take pictures. The car is in running condition, has some rust around fuel door, dent in pax door, interior is clean and in good condition. I wasn't able to get pics of the engine bay. This guy has been working on or rebuilding Zs since the late 70s. He had several parts cars and extra parts. VIN 95163; 90,000 miles; Rebulit - Engine, clutch, brakes, all cylinders, New Goodyear tires. Everything works: lights, guages, wipers, radio, new heavy duty fuse box, all fluids recently changed. Asking $6000 but negotiable. Contact Ray at Rays Auto Restoration, 256-339-1077

This 240Z is a lot peppier than my 280Z. Not as fast but quicker if that makes sense. Could that be the weight difference? Also what grade fuel should I run in the '72 240, highest octane or lower? Stock motor with the dome carburetors. Thanks for any responses. I promise not to flog everybody with questions right away. Sprinkle a few in over time.

Hello, I am sure this topic has been covered, I searched but came up with nothing, please forgive me. I have seen and I am sure others have seen as well, late '73 240z's with early 260z's (1.74-8.74) styled front bumpers with matching pneumatic mounts. My question is, was there a specific month that this took place, or was it a general swap toward the end of the period based on stocks of '73 front bumpers being depleted? Thanks, Daniel P.

Hey everyone, I am looking for a new shop to take my 77 280 to. The one I used to go to is no longer around. I usually do everything myself. But there is a rare occasion when I have someone else do the work for me. Especially when it comes to pulling the tranny and repairing it which it needs now. I will not take it to Nissan. I here Mike's Z Shop in Whittier might be the place. Anyone ever go there? Good or bad experience? Thanks for the help. Bob

The city has come to own a (going off the door jamb plate) 2/72 HLS30-69776 I know there is a z registry but, other than that is there no real way of finding history of these cars? If not can anyone on here give me insight to the history of the car, maybe it is a long lost love for someone on here. I'm looking to buy it and would just like to know a bit more if anyone can help because I will have to fight to achieve a lost title as the previous owner never filed for one. And i'd hate to see this beautiful blue beauty be scrapped
