Today was a great day in Gainesville, FL for Bill Coffey's Garage Party #9. I'm sure that everyone in attendance would like to Thank Bill for his generous hospitality, and for putting on this great show. There was an exceptional array of cars. The Suncoast Z Car Club and South Florida Z Car Club both showed up in force. Enjoy a few pics here, and make sure to click on the link to see the entire album. I read the story in Hagerty's magazine. Here's the video. IMHO, it's a great example of what happens when you take old cars out on trips without making sure they are properly prepared. Enjoy. Trip of Fools

Pulled out my entire dash this evening in about an hour. That is a PITA to get out... I'm doing a custom fiberglass dash with more modern curves. While trying to get it out, I removed the driver seat to get better access on my back. Then I realized it: I plan to install racing seats anyway. That said, I have a pair or old and very beat of seats I listed for $80 for the pair on the classifieds. If anyone is in Socal and wants to recover them, have at em and get them outta my garage.

Hello All This is either going to sink or swim, but I thought that Id throw it out there as a topic of interest regardless. There seems to be a great deal of confusion when it comes to the RHD HS30 model and what specification rear view mirrors were fitted as standard equipment from the factory. Please note here Im referring to the HS30 model rather than the Japanese home market S30 model. Initially I was confused, and thought that they were just applied at the factory in a haphazard fashion, but have been thinking about it and believe I may have come up with a fitment pattern, and wanted to back this theory up with posted results. I am of the belief that from the factory…

Now I know what it must feel like to chew off your own arm. It was not coming up with my pocket knife and I couldn't reach the pull handle in the cabin, I was in a pinch. Thank God for pocket phones and neighbors that don't work.

Hello all This December I'm planning on driving from my Tucson home to visit a friend of mine in San Fransisco. I'm not worried that my Z won't make it there but I'd like to prepare her for the long trip. (From google maps I'm getting that its 950 miles each way excluding day trips and such). Other then checking ALL fluids, brakes, tires and plugs is there anything I should do to prepare? Thanks all Jan

I will be traveling to Phoenix for Christmas. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable salvage yard in the Mesa/Phoenix area that has a fair selection of early z cars? Thanks in advance!

I have been watching reruns of the Mecum Auctions that took place in Anaheim CA a few weeks ago, did not see a single Z . That made me realized that for 25 Grand + or - there is not much to grab if you want an iconic Classic sport car. Plenty of late 60's and mid 70's Camaros,Mustangs,Challengers,Corvettes at both ends of the coin as far as original #'s matching and restomoded that demanded well over 25 G's. I feel rewarded that I own a 1972 Z, yes mine demanded more than 25 G's , but she is not like a belly button that every body has one, she is not all Nissan but the LS1 conversion plus all the performance upgrades makes her a very special car. What can 25 G's buy t…

Does anyone know if the episode of My Classic Car that was made at the Nashville convention in 2010 is available, or if they have a copy on tape or DVD? The only way to get a copy through MyClassicCar.com is to buy the entire 2010 DVD collection (5 disks, 26 episodes). You can see a short introduction here, but the entire show is about a half-hour long

While walking around the parking lot for Caffeine & Octane, my friend (and fellow ClassicZCars member) Pete said, "Hey, Steve. A Z the same color of yours just drove into the parking lot." I strained to look, being about 4 inches shorter than Pete and having trouble seeing around all of the open car hoods. I finally made out the roofline of the Z and noticed it was smoking badly. I split off from the group and went around on my own for a few minutes. I found the smoking Z and met its owner, Steven. He lost the alternator belt just before getting to the meet, causing the car to overheat. I told him where the nearest parts store was and let him know I had tools to do t…
