I dont know how to create a Poll on this website but here goes. Does your S30 leak oil? Is there a way to have a oil leak free engine? Rebuilt with new gaskets? original and leaking? etc. Lets hear it!

I had been getting this magazine as part of my subscription to NASA but apparetly they are no longer sending it-otherwise I'd scan and post it here. Anyhow, I saw the July 2012 issue in a client's office and the cover article was about how Japanese cars are finally getting some respect as Collector Cars. They mention both the roadster and the Z, among other vehicles. I'm not saying this will solve your college tuition problems, but perhaps it is a start.

Hey ! I am having a issue of trying to find out what is the proper jack for my 1972 240Z Seems like I have 4 to chose from. Two are long and two are short. The jack point also looks different on two and the screw points are different. (square or flared out) The car has the tool stowage under the cargo deck carpet. Anyone can help or even with pics would be great! Thanks! Polecat

Hello Heloo Jus found my lowest vin Z to date, #1678 ! I know it's not low as the low VIN Z's being dicussed currently but I was surprised to find myself at a wrecking yard the other day going though weeds and bushes then brushing off the window to reveal the VIN. I opened the hood and found the 2400 OHC Valve Cover and dual carb engine. Neglected to get the engine number though in my excitment :stupid: The doors were locked so no idea of the build date but it is a 4 speed far as I know with brown interrior and matching color paint sporting western turbine wheels and Black 240Z rocker panel stripes with 240Z lettering. Overall the body is in pretty good shape …

Couldn't find much searching under this subject. I don't even know if Datsun did this type insulating from the factory. Love to hear from someone that has insulated under the hood for noise and what their results are. I would think a barrier between the hood and the valve cover would suppress a lot of mechanical noise and make for a quieter engine. Don't get me wrong, I like hearing my engine, but would prefer to get rid of any metallic sounds and here a more subdued power-if that makes sense. I know some folks are worried about adding weight, but I'm not concerned. Maybe I need to step up the firewall insulation with some dynomat or something.

Hey there gang, I was out cleaning the garage and going through some old stuff and found a couple of Z Car stuff that I forgot about. Nothing really to brag about but thought I'd show ya anyway My old 2005 Z Car Calendar from MSA. Mint shape. I saved it cause it had some sweet Z Car pics. Also in the same box I found a set of factory Nissan Grease seal set for the front wheel hubs still in the package. I'd send them to the guy who bought my Z but can't locate his phone number so anyone here want them??? Hate to just throw them away. Hope everyones having a good summer. The web site is looking good. Been a while since I was last here
