On my '72Z I just got my hands on, there are a series of snaps on the interior passenger door. Also along with that, it came with a "satchel" with the same pattern on it. It seems to me that on my ex's brothers '70 Z, when I saw it, a long long time ago, it had the same snaps on it. Obviously the satchel snaps to these ( I guess)....my question is, are these from the factory? Are they a dealers ad on? Are they owner installed? Any info or input would be appreciated.

I plan on painting my z within the next few months, but can't decide on a color. I like the green and the gold because i don't see a lot of them that color. my car was originally gold and has a black interior. i know the gold would be easier and have a better off set with the black interior but i like the green just as much. whats everyone else think and dose anyone have pics of a gold z?

Im doing an AC install and need the vacuum controlled actuators for the ventilation box. There's the water ****, door mode actuator and i think one more. I need all of them. Parts from 260 and 280z's should work. Let me know if you have any lying around, the local wrecking yards have been sparse lately.

I have sold the wheels that are on my Z now to a guy in Whittier CA. He wants the Azenis too so shipping is prohibitive. $50 gas money to anyone who can get these to Whittier from Reno, Sacramento, or Sonoma!

Welding shop wanted $40 per hour. I bought a siphon sandblast gun from sears.com for $16 and a bag of play sand from Lowes for $3.50 plus 2 hours of my time @$.50 per hour so less than $21 to do it myself. After pic is 1st then the before. I like it.

So......I was parting out the Z yesterday and when I took the gas cap off I dropped one of the screws into the gas tank. Oops. :embarrass: It took a while to get it out (once I got the tank off), but as I was shaking the ****ens out of it these two pieces also fell out. There's another small one in there, too...it's square, flat, and about the size of a pencil erasure and maybe 1/8" thick. Looks like it's the same kind of material. Any idea what I broke (see attached)? I'd appreciate any help possible...hoping I didn't ruin the tank!

This is a follow up to my post about seeing 240-Z's on the road. Many folks mentioned getting lots of attention from others on the road when their in their Z. Plus the oft quoted line in most ebay sales that "this car turns heads". I think it may depend on where you live. In the Spokane area, I rarely get any attention at all! Sometimes I even watch other drivers as they go by on the roads to see if they are looking. But that does not seem to be the case. This seems to be US made muscle car territory as far as enthusiasts go. When someone does wave or notice the car when Im getting gas, it really makes my day, but it has only happened a handful of times in the last few yea…

Went with the 15x8 et0 with 225-50-15 falcons. Wish the lIp was a tad deeper but over all I love them. The center cap is silver not blue it is just a protective sticker

Ok so, I recently got a 260z bone stock, also my father owns a salvage yard and a 78 280z came in pretty much complete so its like a parts car. After that i traded some interior parts off the parts car for a 260z motor that has a header and a set of wheels. i picked up the motor and it turned out to be a 240z motor with a e31 head on it. i want to build up my 260z motor a little. i plan on putting weber dgv carbs on it along with the header. My brother works at a motor building shop so i was going to have the e31 head planed, ported a little, polished, and put bigger valves in it. is this going to make a big difference in the performance and will my compression be to …
