Well I've heard good things about Precisions kit and I heard the BD (Black Dragon) kit is a slight step down. However that's really all I know about weatherstripping kits for Z's let alone any car. So what's the best choice for a weather-stripping kit (Quality and inclusiveness wise)? It'll be going on a 77' 280Z coupe. Thanks !

I've read the story about how this was in the works as an aftermarket option back in the 70's for the S30; Yes, a first gen Z with a targa top. I cannot remember where I saw the article...Maybe it was on Zcar.com. It does not appear in my Google search either. Anyway, as the story goes the factory burnt down (or something) and so did the dream of having Z-Tops. Does anyone have any information on this? Also, has anyone ever seen an S30 with Z-Tops? I'd go for it.

Okay, I have been toying with this idea in another thread for a while now and I have some ideas floating around. Since I am not aware of any regional forums I am putting this here. I am trying to organize a classic car getaway in the hill and wine country of Texas. Think Fredericksburg. A few things to note about this. This IS a family friendly event. Spouses are welcome and encouraged. This IS an event where classic car lovers get together to to share stories, and just hang out. This IS NOT a competitive timed event. NO stage or sector times. This IS NOT an event where every second of every day is mapped out for you. My outline is this so far. This will…

I have come into possession of my father-in-law's 1973 240Z. Phil bought the car new and drove it regularly for the first 20 years of its life. Since then it was my wife's high school ride, but has spent 15 or so years in a barn. It's a late 73 car (HLS30-151555), with relatively low miles (just over 72,000). Here's a link to some pics. Phil is still with us, but he recently retired and has taken up cleaning out the barn and his other various storage areas as his new pastime. He knew I wanted to tinker with the Z, so a couple of weeks ago, it showed up in my garage. I'm certainly grateful, but I'm not sure I have the time or money to do the car justice. The car runs…

Hey Guys...thought I'd send a few photos from my club's 1st meet of the year. I'm a member of ZROC out of Columbus and meet the rest of the club 3 or 4 times per year. Most of the members have 300-370Zs...mine is one of the very few S30s in the club. We met this past Saturday when it was raining and the windchill was approx. 40 degs. (the week before we had 60s-70s...figures!). The woman is my fiancee Susan...she puts up with my old car nonsense . Best regards!

How do I clean the bumper trim on my early model 260,or do I just replace it. Better yet do I look for some 240z bumpers. When I attempt to clean the trim ,my rag comes out black.

:cry:Ohhh uggh! Well, only after 2 months of ownership, my son got into an accident on the way to school:( He's fine, just a bump on his nose and no one seriously injured. The only damage was to the front end of the Z. In fact, the truck he rear ended left after making sure my son was OK. The truck was so big and since the Z is so low, it must have just hit the lower part of the bumper and by the looks of the crushed hood, it had some sort of vertical bar on it. Lesson learned. But, what was a minor project has turned suddenly into a much bigger one, that's for sure. In the process of taking off damaged body panels, bumper, grill etc to really assess the damage. …

and good riddance: the rt mount is the easiest upgrade so far, 14 mm wrench, socket and a hammer to persuade it a little. Oh and a sharp knife to remove a little from the bump stop. the clunk is gone!
