Im looking to buy an S30 and I've been hearing/reading contradictory reports on reliability...the few people I've talked to in person seem to think that they are total crap, where as everything I've read on the forums, internet and car magazines says that they will last a long time...Which is correct?

I decided to get rid of my Z. My son is graduating school, going to give him my old Buick and get something else myself. I'm interested in everyone's opinion on the price. When I say "significant rust", I mean there are holes in the passenger floor that I can see the road through... http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=0&nid=443&tab=list%2Fview&ad=7312770

What did the original factory key look like for the Z's? I'm mostly interested in the later 280 years and I know the blanks changed over the years with earlier years being different than later 280 years. Anyone have a key that they know was the original key to come with a 280 when new? I've been working on the locks for my 280 and I'm nearing completion and I've been thinking that it would be nice to have a fancy factory looking period original key to go along with my nice reworked locks. I've already got aftermarket keys that work great with my locks and I know it's completely esoteric and unnecessary, but I think it would be a nice touch to have an original factory loo…

Hi all, I've got a 1970 240Z rear window with the original vertical defroster lines intact. These are getting rarer every day, and there's the big MSA show coming up next month. It's obviously big and fragile and I'd really rather NOT ship it. It's located in Pasadena (91102) and I'd like to get $150 obo for it. If there are no takers here, then I'll probably put it on eBay. -e

Bittersweet day here. I helped pack my Z up to go to its new home in New York. I feel like I've lost an old friend. She served me so well. 7 first places, 2 seconds, never left us stranded and if something needed to be fixed, it was just a new part or a wrench or two and it was as good as new. To all the many friends I've made on this board and at shows, clubs, etc. thank you for the friendship and the great memories. I'll continue to drop into the board and go to shows as I still love the cars. And, if you see the perfect 1972 lemon-lime Z out there, drop me a line because I'd probably have to buy it! I know Fred Jordan is looking down on me shaking his head right n…

Photos: http://imgur.com/a/0Pney Haven't had a chance to see it in person, but someone snagged these photos of it. Stock '75 280z... surface rust on hood, near windshield, and back right fender. Otherwise floor pans, frame rails, doors, deck lid, (common areas) are all purported to be in great shape. Mechanically, the owner says it's straight. Anything scare you off right away? My other car didn't have this type of rust, so I'm not sure how deep it might go. Thanks in advance for your 2-cents.
