When i tighten the bolt for the lower control arm it pinches the bushing preventing it to move. It needs to move, preventing the rubber from tearing.

I see that front struts are being made but my factory manual talks about removing the rod and filling the tube, packing the top seal. So does the new strut fit inside the existing tube?

have not check into it, only things i assume that can be at fault would be the relay or the switch. IIRC the floor temp lignt was on in both ON and START, would stay on for a few seconds after engine running, then would go off. this is a Cali car with the cat light as well that works as it should, only on during start to test the light. I will do a check of continuity tomorrow, but if the floor temp switch is bad, I found this uxcell KSD301 Thermostat 100°C/212°F 10A Normally Open N.O Adjust Snap Disc Temperature Switch 2pcs - - Amazon.com looks about right. could not find the correct PN in the car parts manual site, so not sure how to find an OE…

Hey Everyone, I have my new dash in and its time to connect the wires. The wires to the relay on the steering column next to the buzzer came off with the dash. I wasn't able to mark the connections. Are they directional or can I put them either way? I need to say that connecting the door buzzer was pretty difficult. Thanks for the help, Bill

I purchased my '71 Z about 5 years ago (car found via Bring-a-Trailer ad link), fixed it up cosmetically (mostly interior), rebuilt the suspension, and got the engine running very well. I enjoyed the car as a winter daily driver (no a/c in Texas) for many years and decided it was time to move on. I really enjoyed this forum, especially the helpful members. I hope I contributed some as well. I purchased the Z for about $6900, put about $7k into it and sold it for $19k. I think I and the buyer came out ok. Before you think I undersold, the car was definitely not perfect. So, this description might give you an idea of why the selling/purchase price: Engine: n…

Hello Everyone, I have had this seat for over a decade and I have finally decided to install it in my car. The seat has been transported and stored in five different places I have lived in over the last 10+ years. It is a beautiful seat and it isn't doing any good sitting in my storage closet. When I bought the seat it was without a headrest and this is the piece I seek. I did purchase a set of headrests years ago thinking they were the proper headrests, but they are not. If anyone can help me get one original Datsun Competition headrest or an accurate replica I would greatly appreciate it. If you have a use for the headrests I have, they are yours. The…

I bought my 75 280z last year and have been chasing away years of idle sitting in a garage somewhere in Michigan untouched for the last 13 years or more. Last week I was able to get the MSA exhaust system installed, ( word of advice to anyone hiring a experienced exhaust shop to do some work. . . . Do not give them a can of spray paint ! ) I had the new downpipe ceramic coated last winter, and I cleaned and painted the muffler in VHT exhaust paint on my own in my basement last winter, of course they decided to use the 1 can of heat paint Which I supplied to " Paint The Resonator " of course, the workmen decided to repaint the whole system down pipe and muffler in silver,…
