I am having trouble with my gas pedal sticking. If you push all the way down and then let go it pops back up. However, if gently press it the pedal it will not return to the up position. I replaced the throttle spring but that didn't help. Is there a specific specification for the spring? I also fully cleaned the linkage to make sure there was not dirt or grime holding it up. This is frustrating because I got the car's "primary" wiring right the first time. Starter, ignition, etc---plugged it all in and it cranked right away. Now I'm trying to sort out the remaining connectors in the steering column area. I have no turn signals, hazard lights, brake lights, headlights or dashboard lights. The wiper switch activates the wipers. Can anyone see where I might have gotten crossed up? These two are white and green and are labeled "barrel thingy on steering column" but I can't find where they connect to, and I can't find a "barrel thingy" in my remaining parts stash: Any and all help appreciated. Thanks…

I have two spare fuel cap and trim ring assemblies. One had the provision for the retainer chain, as seen in the eyelets of the Fuel Cap #1.jpg photo. The other assembly does not have the provision for the chain. Does anyone know what production period these assemblies were originally installed? Thanks, Keith

In the process of chasing the exhaust gas in radiator, I pulled the head, gasket looked ok, found a couple areas that may have been a an issue. Anyway while looking over the gasket i noticed several of the head cooling ports on the manifold side were completely covered by the gasket. I pulled out my felpro, it had holes for those but was missing on hole on the spark plug side. Also had holes in the gasket on that same side where there were no ports. So what I think is the OE had missing holes in the gasket, the felpro had holes that did not match up with all the water passages either. Am I missing something? I have found a OE nissan gasket for the P90a head th…

Well I have been talking and thinking about this for a while now; however, today is the day the Z goes on the market. Just curious if anyone can give advice on the best way to sale? Ebay? Marketplace? other? I thought about taking offers for 30 days and then going with the best offer assuming the offer is basically acceptable. I am in Louisville, KY and can go a year without seeing another 70's model z car. Not sure if that is good or bad. I have no idea what the car will sale for or even how to answer the question on what condition it is currently in. It is a 76 280 2+2 far from show quality and probably considered good condition but not sure.…

Have you guys looked at the price of shipping on parts for our cars. I need a bunch of parts but the shipping is around fifty percent the price of the parts. There are a ton of places like summit and jegs that offer free shipping on orders over $99. I think the issue is our parts are not here in the usa. Zcarsource appears to have the best shipping prices.

Hello, Have a few basic questions about installation of Haltech Elite 750, 73 240Z NA. Overlaying the Haltech wiring harness to the existing 240Z harness, can't get my head around some of the connections. First ignition wire (Key switched 12V) Which wire on the 73 240Z ignition switch is the switched 12v (on) ? (B.Y., B.W, W.R, L.R, or G.W) I have a FSM but not an expert on wiring diagrams. Terminate the existing ignition wire in the connector and replace with the ECU ignition wire or splice into the existing wire and leave it in the connector? The configuration is not typical and information is limited at best. Running a single HEI coil to a ha…

I have a 1977 280z and recently the battery was draining for an unknown reason. I do not drive the car, it sitting in my garage. I also do not leave the key in the ignition. After a lot of trial and error I noticed when I disconnect the black and yellow wire from the starter the battery remains charged. Once connected it starts a slow drain. When the battery is charged the starter works well. Any ideas what to look for and see why the starter would drain the battery?

https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45461-parts-for-oem-np-valve-and-brake-indicator-switch-unit/ While this forum post is an excellent read, it still doesnt help me get any closer to actually rebuilding the stock NP valve. Any suggestions where one would find new O-rings, Y-seals, lip seals, and cup seals?
