I am slowly getting this Z up and running. I have one stock dr side mirror and really need the pass-side matching mirror. This is a simple mirror w/o remote. I just want one like it for the pass side. I know you need to remove the door panel to remove a 240Z mirror... What about the 280Z? What is the process for removal and replacement?

Finally got my garage floor cleared of my buddy's 280 parts. Between trashing some 240 stuff that was totally junk and un-sellable, and inventorying (?) the 280 parts, I finally got it all in boxes and either on the shelves or in the attic. If I can just get rid of the grandsons toys, I might be able to get Momma's car back in the garage again.

I ran across a 1989 300zx with a locked up engine, needs a new engine. The interior is beat up a bit.. things held together with duck tape. The outside is beat up some, some rust etc. What should I pay for the car?

I think Im gonna just turn the vent hose from rear of car down right at firewall. Maybe I can find some kind of cap that will still let it breath. Anyone see a problem with doing this? I'd rather know now than later. Brian

OK, so he's not just a Datsun guy...he's also about self reliance. Excuse the language (I just learned the word a$$douche) but some of you might find this entertaining.

It is funny how I get very little response on the Austin Healey forum I frequent, which I can only attribute to the fact my drive train is Datsun. Here is my question and I would appreciate the input from your "car guy" perspective. The wire wheels have been patched up spray painted with at least three different colors. I am ready to remove, clean, prep and paint them again. The stock color is a silver/gray with little metallic in it. Other options are to go wild with other colors or perhaps even a darker gray color. What do you think would look best on the car with my (non-original) British Racing Green color?

Now on ebay. The first Scarab built 1972 Datsun Scarab 327 350hp 8 cylinder engine with 4 speed manual transmission, Leather Interior, Air Conditioning, and Am/FM Stereo with Cassette. Rare opportunity to acquire a significant piece of automotive history. Long-term owner of 27 years has decided to offer Scarab #1 for sale. Not only is this car fully documented as an authentic factory produced example, it is the first one produced by the factory. It was used as the test car in the February 1976 Motor Trend and the September 1976 Road Test articles. It was also the car featured in the original sales brochure for Scarab Products. Its original owner was Brian Morrow, the cre…

I have been trying to track down a 260 Z that I bought new in 1974 and sold in 1978 .The web sites I have been using indicate that the number is invalid . I have the original window sticker and it shows Serial No RLS30-018365 ,not a Vin # as we know it today . Any sugestions on possibly finding this car if it hasn't already been crushed. I'm just curious to see if it is still around.

I'm going to get ahead of this one and let club members know that I will be posting my 1970 240Z on ebay in the very near future. After shipping it down from Alaska, I've had it for almost 7 years now (a long time for me!) and have just recently decided that it's time for a new toy. I read Arne's posts when he decided to sell his and my feelings are very much the same, although I know I'll really miss it when it's gone. I showed it for several years (7 firsts and 2 seconds, including 3 1st places in the West Coast Nationals) and then decided I was tired of the show thing. Haven't been driving it much lately and while it looks great in the garage, it needs a new home with…

Here are a pair of 72 240Z's on CL in Lincoln, NE. I have no connections to them. Here's the link to the slightly better one. http://lincoln.craigslist.org/ctd/2723881129.html I stopped and looked at them and they are quite complete, but apparently have not run since being taken out of storage. The white one has lots of rust showing. Interiors are trashed. Probably parts cars in my estimation. Same dealer and phone number for both cars.
