Well it is time for christmas and I am ready to make my Christmas list. What is a good place to get tools for cheep online? Also it would need to be somewhere that had a good selection. I am new to working on a car so I have a limited amount of tools and in my head I have a nice little wish list. Thanks

I have this brand new braided hose, that was to be used in a 78 280, that I would like to sell, but, as a 240 guy, I have no clue what it's used for. The long, sort of straight section is 14" long, while the curvy section is also approx. 14" long.

I have read and read and read the posts here trying to figure out what to do next to try to get the brakes working correctly. Original problem: Front brakes were locking up after they were driven on for a little while, Right more than the left. Note: The 1976 280Z had been sitting outside at a mechanics garage for almost a year. What I have done so far: Cleaned and lubed the front brakes. I was able to get the front right brake brake line unhooked thaty goes through the proportinal valve and fluid seems to make it through there. I have been unsuccessfull getting the brake lines loose on the brake warning light valve. On the back drum brakes the emergency brake lever was…

I was glancing through EBay and saw my old 240Z for sale. Here's a link for anyone interested. The buyer back when I sold it seemed to be a great guy and had a very nice collection of cars, hope he gets his price and had fun with the car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-DATSUN-240-Z-MANUAL-TRANSMISSION-GREAT-CONDITION-/150688215225?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2315b7b0b9

We had tonnes of fun at the Driver's Edge track event this weekend at Houston MSR. I started the day in the blue run group but was given a battlefield promotion to yellow part way through the event. I asked an instructor to take me around the track in my car during the instructor run group. He was able to pick his way through the field, passing some much newer cars. I was pleasantly surprised how my little car kept up. I just need to figure out how to drive it like he does! I got to play with a highly modified Caymen R. I kept right on him for 5 laps until he finally waved me by. I know DE events are not actually racing but it sure feels great to keep up…

Hello all, Just to let those that I know well on here that I had a guy down in Indiana buy my Z this weekend and is going to come up on the 18th to drive her home. I have such mixed emotions over it as I'm going to be so sad to let it go but it will be nice to get my current daily driver all paid off, and no longer have to be billed every month for the storage garage. As much as I love my Z so much and as much as I'm attached to it, It just doesn't make sence to try and hang onto it and see it sitting so much. I just recently got hired on at a new job which has taken up lots of my extra time that I used to have and it's been very tough to find much time for it and it's …

I am looking to swap my 77 280z bumpers out for some 240z bumpers. I was told the 70-73 240z bumpers are the same an also that the 70-72 240z bumpers are the same an the 73 240z bumpers are different. Was told the 73 240z bumpers are not flush with the car like the 70-72 an the 73 stick out more from the body. Are the 73 bumpers bigger or just have brackets making them stick out farther from the body?

I know that value is all in what will someone pay for it but...I am having trouble finding comparabiles to help me determine the value of this car. It has just recently had a new paint job with new badging etc. The odometer reads 77,837. No rust, good frame rails, T-tops don't leak, runs great. All around a car in nice condition. What would something like this be worth in today's market...roughly. Thanks for the help!

My car is probably a little unique from others here from a cooling perspective. The car: 1963 Austin Healey 3000 with an L28 with an original (over sized) Austin Healey radiator. I have had it on the road since this past Spring. The temperature sensor is located in the radiator and the sensor and the gauge are original Healey pieces. I live in Sacramento, where it is scorching hot in the summer. We will see a summer full of 100+ degree days and in the winter it gets down in the 30's in the morning, 50's during the day. This car is no garage queen, I drive the car a lot. I drove it to a "shine & show" 20 miles away this summer and it was 105 degrees that day.…
