I'm putting together my 1973 240Z and I have just discovered I'm missing the bracket that mounts the console to the transmission tunnel close to the radio. Can anyone help me locate one? I could make something up but would much rather have the original part. Thanks....

Hey Guys...I was out in the driveway a few nights ago testing my new tuning device (a Unisyn carb adjuster) and thought my daughter (age 12) might like to see how it worked (and what a genius her Father is...). Anyway, I tore her away from the Disney channel for about 30 mins to show her a little more about the mechanical marvel that will be willed to her someday. I told her I expect her to learn how to take care of "her" Z before she learns to drive it. She now knows the difference between 3/8" and 1/2" ratchets, what a phillips screwdriver looks like, even what channel-locks are. I'm preparing a notebook for her that will go through the tuning procedure for the car (eve…

After I bought this car a few years ago the first thing I did was get the engine tuned as perfect as I could. The previous owner never had it running, but claimed the engine was rebuilt when he bought it. I believe this is true since the compression test i later did proved this is a new rebuild. Anyway I started with the complete carb rebuild kit with video from Z Therapy. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and the Pertronix kit with 3.0 ohm Flame Thrower coil. Of course the gas tank was full of gunk, ALOT OF IT, so I ran fuel from a gas can as I got the engine running and tuned perfect. I managed to get the gas tank mostly cleaned, but I still had to change filters about ever…

Was not sure which forum to post in but thought I would start here in the open. I have (2) 1971 Z's out of AZ. I am working on so would be sending 2 full gauge set out for restoring. I am interested in hearing everyone's suggestion who they would recommend to send dash gauges for restoration and who not to send them to. Thanks in advance

Flashback to the mid 1960's. You are a part of the Nissan design and development team for the new Z-car. The prototype models are nearing finalization for production. If you had the authority to make any styling or engineering changes to the final design prototype, what would they be?

Well, it looks like my headgasket is about toast and getting worse. I still have some diagnostics to do before pulling the head, but I'm wondering what brand gasket people here have had good luck or bad luck with? I've seen them @ MSA for $22.50 and at Courtesy Nissan for $150......any suggestions? My motor is a stock original L24 with 81k miles if it matters.

The Fed's a cracking down again: By: Mark Rockwell Although their multi-million dollar seizures of illegal drug shipments get more headlines, Customs and Border Protection officers have been working to stem a flow of illegally-imported auto headlights that can have dangerous consequences for drivers in the U.S. CBP’s Import Safety Commercial Targeting and Analysis Center (CTAC) is on the lookout for illegal imports of noncompliant High Intensity Discharge (HID) conversion kits, light sources, and ballasts, said the agency. Since receiving a commercial allegation in December 2010, CBPS said it has identified hundreds of shipments for examination at various ports o…
