Attended the ZONC Z gathering at Brisbane marina on SF Bay. Good group of people and it was nice to chat with other Z owners. I'm guessing there were about 40 cars total, (S30's, a couple S31's & 32's, 350's and 370's, 3 GTR's, a couple 510's and a 1600 roadster). The Mach 5 was there as well. Here's a few pics.

Put some 20W oil in the carb and put too much. Where does it flow to? Will it mess anything up? Should I remove the carb, dump it out and start over before I start for the first time?

Day off work today, so I went out and took a few pics of the Z. Still need to finish installing the under-hood AC components and the 5-speed, but she's almost done. Hope you like the pics!

Ok so within the next few days I should be towing my 77 280Z home and it's got leaves and stuff all over it and the usual dirt that would build up from sitting for 8 years. Also the engine compartment has a lot of spider-webs and such so I was thinking of giving the whole car a good bath and then giving the engine compartment a bath as-well. Being a 77 it's fuel injected but I'm wondering is there any reason I shouldn't wash the engine compartment or are there any things I should plug up when I wash in there? Also would it be a wise choice to go get some degreaser to spray around in there because I'd like to generally get it pretty clean in there before I start tearing ev…

Hi there, Just wondering if someone could tell me about how to go about obtaining upper and lower R/H side door hinges for my car. It is an Aussie '77 260 coupe which I believe is the same as your 280Z body shell. Someone over here in Perth thought that there was a place/workshop in the USA where someone reconditioned/overhauled Z door hinges? I cannot find any leads on the 'net... Any help/advice appreciated, Regards, Rod.

I am looking for software that I can use to track the maintenance and upgrades to my 240Z, as well as our other cars. I have Googled and have come up with these options: Auto Maintenance Pro - http://www.mtcpro.com/automtc.htm Vehicle Manager - http://www.kzsoftware.com/products/vehicle_maintenance/vehicle_maintenance_log.htm?gclid=CKjgtd2gxKcCFQGGDgodITFMEA Ownersite - http://www.ownersite.com/Consumers.cfm CarCare - http://www.carcaresoftware.com/intro.htm Automotive Wolf - http://www.lonewolf-software.com/automotivewolf.htm Does anyone have experience with any of these? If not, can you suggest an alternative that is not listed? I can't find any site that compa…

the bearings on the ends of the linkage from the wiper motor to the arms are very loose so there is a lot of slop when the arms are at either end of travel, and they stop in a different place when you turn the wipers off. plus they are making some clatter at the ends of the travel, and it's getting distracting. Is there a way to rebuild those bearings? they look a like a kind of Heim joint, but maybe there's something better to tighten it up? Maybe a replacement linkage from another model car? thxZ

So the last thing I need is another project, but for $200.00 I couldn't pass it up. It is a 9/72mfg date and titled as a '73. I believe it has been sitting outside for around 8 years and will definitely need a lot of work, when I finish my other car. It has a wonderful pair of flat tops but I have some extra round tops I can put on. Hopefully the Z gods will smile on me for this one, because there are tons of other things that should be done before another car. If anyone recognizes the brand of wheels and steering wheel please let me know because I will need 2 center caps and a horn button.

So I take off the covers on my front turn signals and the driver side looks good however the passenger side seal must have leaked because all the reflective chrome is heavily eaten away. Here's the driver side And here is the passenger side It seems that only that reflective strip has been eaten away, is that a piece you can buy individually this seems like a problem that could be relatively common?
