So I have posted here that I bought my daughter a 1981 280zxt a couple of years ago. It turned out to be a fun car for here for a couple of years at college-even amongst all the fixes it endured. Her traveling became too far and often for the car to be her daily driver so we decided to part with it. She didn't mind too much since her replacement is a 2007 WRX, but it didn't compare to the fun of the T-top Z. I put the car on craigslist and had to endure the various low ballers and no shows. Then some guy says he wants to buy it and wanted to drive up from Louisville(about 2 hours) to come get it. He had been looking for that specific year, color. He told me he owned a bar…

This Z is near me, I asked for more pics and it really seems like it doesn't have much rust for a PA car: The downside: It has a sunroof. I think I can get it for a good price, but I don't think I want to deal with the sunroof. I'm willing to do repair work/welding myself, but I haven't done bodywork repair before so I'd rather keep my repairs simple or in less visible locations. I think putting a donor roof (if I can find one) is beyond the scope of my abilities. But boy, does it look to be in good shape from the pictures! I haven't actually gone and seen it in person yet, because I'm not sure I can get past the sunroof...

Found a 79 zhawk at pyp in Chula Vista today. Paint was cracking, pretty much a rust bucket. looked like a plain 79 zx with Seattle Seahawks decals. For the local S.D guys theres a 73z pretty complete one row up from the zx. Rex

Four times in the last two weeks I've seen the same gorgeous, bright yellow Z drive by my house. Since every time its come by, mine has been tucked away in the garage, the owner is probably wondering why the nice crazy man is waving at him so frantically. My wife has seen it the same number of times within a mile of home during the last couple of weeks also, so I've got to think it must not live too far away. I'm not sure of the model/year, I'm guessing its a 260Z or an earlier 280Z, though I couldn't tell you why I don't think it is a later 280Z. I also don't know if it truly is a new kid in town or the result of an extensive renovation / restoration project. Is awf…

So while removing my engine I found some very strange holes in my engine bay. One on each side of the firewall around the transmission, they both look like they were punched out, but not hole-punched, the metal is frayed and torn looking. One has a tube coming out of it the other is just the hole. They just don't look stock because of the way the metal is torn and that they're not clean cut holes. So if anyone knows what these are or can give some guesses as to what they might be? I guess eventually I'll find out where they lead and if nothing else. Anyhow thanks and here's a picture, I can get a closer, better quality one of just them if it helps.

Had a great turnout last weekend for the Midwest Z Heritage show, everything from stock 240Z's to modded 370Z's and even a few from Infiniti. Here are a few shots of the 1st Gens that showed up.

There's a decent looking blue '70 Z near Greenville, SC for sale on Craigslist. Not the best photos, but the buyer says it's mostly original, 170k miles, minor rust spots. The VIN is HLS30-04440. Seller wants $4,500, but everything is negotiable. http://greenville.craigslist.org/cto/2450009347.html
