Hey the dash on my 77 280Z coupe is cracked real bad and new ones are an arm and a leg, however I found a 76 280Z 2+2 being parted out and the dash looks fine in the picture, but would this dash even fit on my car? Thanks!

Hi guys! Had an interesting day Sunday when I took the wife on a drive, essentially to "town". I have had trouble closing the passenger door on the 71 for awhile. You need to slam it pretty hard sometimes, the striker plate must need to be adjusted. Long story short, the wife slammed the door shut, and the glass in the passenger door shattered! I have Haggerty insurance so figure it should be a quick fix. I called some local glass places, no one can get NOS glass for passenger side. I need your help with a good source. But there is another issue. I have a 12/75 280Z on my property, pretty much a parts car, but it's not really mine. It has sat here for about ten months, …

After replacing my rear main seal twice, and replacing my oil pan gasket. I still have the same small oil leak on the back of the block. I believe the only thing left that it could be is the side seals. The 2nd rear main seal I pulled out had no visible issues, and the 2nd one I put in I was very careful to make sure it had no burs and went in correctly. I saw the two side seals on the rear cap when I replaced the oil pan gasket, I guess my question is can they be removed easily and replaced once the oil pan is off? The FSM shows installing the side seals on a motor rebuild, but I've not seen any decent "replacement" procedure.

I am trying to figure out if having bumpers fabricated in the U.S. could be cost effective. The first step in making them cost effective would be to get the CAD files for free;). I know that some members have experience with CAD and might be able to produce the files or know someone that does have them. I need these so I can present them to a few fabricators and see what it will cost to get the dies made. Any help would be appreciated. John

Car: '73 240Z Owned the car for only 1 week so far. I stopped by Nissan today to pick up an oil filter and they were a bit unsure of which oil filter was the correct one. They ended up giving me the part #15208-W1103 which after some research, appears to be for a truck. I've found the part #15208-65011 mentioned a few times on here as well as part #15208-43G00. Are there different part #'s for the different years of the 240Z or just one that fits all?

Took the fuel tank out of my '73 240z on Saturday to get it boiled out. When I fill up the tank I would get a very strong gas smell, so I know I have a leak. Also, a couple of weeks ago when I went to get it started, I found that I had to blow out the fuel lines to get fuel to flow. I assume I had some debris in the lines. After taking the tank off, I'm convinced the leak was a hose and not the tank itself. When I lowered the tank to get at the hidden hoses, the hidden hoses ripped in half! I guess they were a little tired.. I drained the tank and didn't find much in the tank. The picture shows some debris, but I think most of it is dirt from the outside of the ta…

So I'm planning on purchasing a 77 280z in the near future however it has been sitting for 8 years and the tires are flat. I plan on having it towed to my house but I'm definitely going to try and pump up the tires before hand. However if they leak I was thinking of trying fix a flat on them then pumping them up real well for rolling it around my house and garage. Is fix a flat a worthwhile solution to this or should I try something else?
