Hi! I have just ordered a few parts from Mynissanparts.com Part numbers 12-13-14 from: http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsuns30/DatsunFairladyZIndex/Steering/SteeringColumn/tabid/1745/Default.aspx And now the seller is claiming that none of the parts will fit my European Datsun 240Z April 1971. Can anybody confirm, or is the seller wrong? Thank you! - Sebastian Poulsen 240Z HLS30-29869 Denmark

I wanted to give a shout out for Mike's Z Shop in Whittier, CA. I've read great things about them on this forum and others. My 78 280Z had developed a small fuel drip that I didn't want to deal with, so I made the 30+ mile drive on Saturday. They replaced some old fuel hose for basically 1 hour of labor, and gave the rest of the car a good once-over. I spoke to the owner for a bit, they really do treat each car as if it was their own, and make a real effort to go the extra mile for you. Met a guy with a 1990 300ZX twin turbo, he had a bad engine replacement from another mechanic, and the guy's at Mike's fixed everything. They really seem to know Z's. A giant plus is …

Hi guys...I am new to the club and just changed my "handle" from 24 OZ to 24 Ounces (I noticed there was a member from the UK with the name 24OZ...didn't want to rain on his parade or create any confusion:). I recently purchased a 240Z that was listed in your classifieds. The car is HLS30-74857 (built 4/72), 90k original miles, original color code 110 (one repaint 20 years ago), white interior (being switched to black), zero rust, matching number motor that doesn't use oil and still runs strong, purchased from the original owner's son. I received two photos of the car when it was new, the owner's manual and blue plastic documents pouch, warranty book (loaded with servicin…

Anyone know more about this car? The owner? Looked it at? http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/2290535987.html A/C season is coming fast, is it expensive to bring A/C to be operational in these cars? Hell you can even call me, PM first.

I just came across these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/240z-260z-280z-70-76-Fresh-Air-Elbow-New_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZalgoQ3dLVIQ26ituQ3dUCIQ26otnQ3d2Q26poQ3dLVIQ26psQ3d63Q26clkidQ3d5470755309962825120QQ_trksidZp3286Q2em7QQcategoryZ46094QQitemZ110589856445. I think they are $75 for the set of 2? They look pretty good from the pictures. Too bad they don't make them for the 1969 production cars. -Mike

There is an article in today's NYTimes that discusses a class of cars called "Pike Cars" which Nissan produced for a while in the 80's and 90's. It is not a Z-Car article but it is interesting non the less. I thought I would share: Nissan’s Cartoon Cars, Once So Hip

I've read a few wiper motor conversion threads, but does anyone know where you can still get a wiper motor for a 240? Obviously, not new but a used one that works. It seems I looked everywhere, and everything points me to a conversion.

Hi Guys...I am new to the club and have owned many other cool cars in the past (GTOs, red '70 Boss 302, '67 Camaro RS, '65 Mustang, Trans Am, and several others), but I have always lusted for an early Z. I found your club while googling "original 240Z for sale", and realized this was the best spot for discussions regarding early Zs. I bought one of the cars listed on your site last week and have been spending numerous hours out in the garage cleaning it up and discovering its mysteries (much like going over a new girlfriend, except they usually don't like the discovery process to occur in a garage . It has 90k original miles, is rust free with the exception of minor bubbl…

Hello everybody I have an opportunity. The company that I worked at last summer and I am going to be working at permanently in a couple months is being into manufacturing overseas(cause that is where it all happens now). They tend to manufacture smaller parts but if they see profit in it. They can do die casting of aluminum and zinc, machining of anything, injection molding of plastics, and many other processes (likewise, if they don't currently do it and see profit, they may be interested). This gives us an opportunity. We can have a large number of parts manufactured for a relatively cheap price. Candidate parts need to be for common vehicles, be used on multiple m…
