So I've searched high and low, google has not been my friend. But does anyone know the laws on emissions for 'classic cars' here in Phoenix? There was supposedly a bill pending a few years ago... can't seem to find anything. Any AZ s30 folks here? Thanks in advance.

What started as a 3 inch rust repair from a frame rail being crushed by a jack, turned into about an 18 inch repair. There were several small spots of rust that once I started grinding and cleaning up, I figured I might as well cut so many more inches out etc.. :classic: The frame rail was the one next to the fuel/brake lines, so following the advice of some other members who've done this in the past, I loosened up the line clamps and pulled the lines up out of the way with some rope. I also took some scrap aluminum I had and shielded the lines against heat and tools. The frame rails are 16ga steel, so it's fairly easy to weld. I stitch welded it to keep the floors so…

So I park my car at the music store yesterday to do some business and chat with friends, and when I walk outside, I see the 1973 license plate, which was there when I pulled into the shopping center parking lot, has been taken off the front bumper of my Zed! Texas requires two plates, rear AND front, regardless of "classic" status or not. So to be legal, I have to get new plates, or find another set of '73s (available), and RE-register the car (~$50). ARRRRGHH!!! Some people would steal used toilet paper if they thought they could get a nickel for it. Excuse the rant, I'm just a newbie temporarily pissed off about a relatively minor non-issue, and will get over …

Hey guys, I've got a son in Denver with a '90 240sx that is giving him trouble lately. For a while it would die everytime he stopped at a light unless he kept it idling around 1500 rpm. Now its just running really rough when it's cold. He has to keep it idling high until it warms up and then it runs fine. The car has the stock KA24e I believe. Do any of you Denver area guys know of a reputable Nissan/Datsun mechanic that I could send him to see. Thanks for the help. Brent

Man what a brother I have. This early 1970 240Z sure is one of a kind - mint condition -very little miles -all stock -crack free dash -absolutely NO rust anywhere. Just an absolute gem. For whatever reason though my 280Z seems alot less cramped LOLLOLLOL My brother found this at Menards for $12.00 and said "I saw this and just had to buy it for you" :classic: I can't get over the detail on this model. Pretty cool and thought I'd show it to you all on here.

Hey guys (and girls), how many "unfinished" projects do you have currently underway? Personally, I have my 444, which like my Z, will never be "finished", but I have a 57 International that I intend to restore, a 52 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe that needs about 10 hours to be complete, a turbo 77 that is begging to be finished, both persimmons Z's to finish, not to mention the house, which I started remodeling 8 years ago and intend to finish when "there is time and money at the same time". I ask this question to put it all in perspective. I just underwent a routine surgery to have a bone spur taken off my heal (its been an issue for a couple of years but finally got around …

I'm looking to find how far it is from the head to the end of the air cleaner. I know this will depend on a few variables, like which air cleaner you are using, but looking to see if this is 8, 10, 12 or more inches. I'm thinking a triple Z motor would look quite nice in the Healey The car is off to be painted while I get the engine figured out.

Hi all I'm starting my 18th rebuild on a 74 260 auto which I'm probably going to put a 5 speed in slightly mod the engine and make it my daily driver. The last one I did was about 10 years ago and I know suppliers and stuff have changed so if you all have any suggestions for people to deal with I would be most appreciative thanx Rik:cool:

I decided to swap out the alt in my 240 for the more efficient 280 model but before I ordered the adaptor I read a post about a problem with such adaptor. My questions are: 1. Have they remidied these problems and it is working fine? 2. Is there another (better) way to convert the alt? 3. Would it be best to stay with the original setup at this time (till all the bugs are worked out)? 4. If I do this swap would it compromise the rest of the wiring harness? I would like to keep her mostly stock with only mods that would make her a more dependable as a daily driver as my doughter (18) will likley be driving her also. Thanks for any insight into this swap, Eric
