I was recently involved in a conversation with an owner who said he is the original owner of a New 78 280Z convertible which he purchase from a Seattle dealer as a new car. have any of you heard of approximately 12-13 cars contracted by Nissan to be converted somewhere is Texas? Or otherwise.

it wont work unless head lights are on. once headlights are tuned on the rear defrost will work. any idea where to look?? any idea what may cause this?? help!

I have been an avid Datsun enthusiast for several decades now. I have accumulated a ridiculous number of hours looking for parts. I've probably logged thousands of hours on Ebay. I have search Craigslist, even utilizing special Google searches to search different locations across Craigslist nationwide. I have "searched" Facebook, joined Facebook groups specializing in Datsun... I have searched Google high and low. I have found various sites that sell Datsun parts. I have looked through as well as searched many of those sites which I found via Google. After 50 years, most of them in the desert sun, the interior rear view mirror plastic casing holding the mirror glass on my '71 240Z crumbled. Anyone have a spare interior mirror in reasonable condition? I tried placing a "Wanted" ad in the Parts Wanted section, but for some reason, it wouldn't post. Doesn't seem to be my day.

Hello all, New to the community. Just uploaded a digitized 1978 280z FSM to the downloads section. I wanted to make some of the files other users have uploaded more useful to me and thought ya'll may appreciate access to it as well. It's not perfect, but I think it'll work fairly well for most. I have two different style wheel wrenches, both fitting the stock Series 1 lug nut. As you can see, the primary difference is the position of angle tip, one parallel (top) one perpendicular (bottom), to the handle. Most 240Zs appear to have the bottom style. Does anyone know the model year application to both top and bottom styles? Thanks, Keith

Hello partners. Well, I'll tell you. I've been looking for a manual pedal box for my 260z, and this guy contacted me because he had one. We talked by email, he sent me photos, and we agreed on a price, plus shipping to Spain. So far so good, all that was at the end of December. I made the payment through PayPal (supposedly to his wife's account because his had problems or what do I know), a few days later he asked me for $60 more for taxes that Fedex asked for the shipment to Spain. Working on a 73 240Z Restoration. I just ordered an O ring and locking collar for the fuel tank sending unit. The FSM shows the sending unit going into the tank, then the o ring on top of that, then the locking collar. Is this correct? This would result to a metal to metal fit between the tank and the sending unit and offer little sealing from leakage. The one I took out had the o ring between the bottom of the sending unit and the fuel tank, then the locking collar, (which seems to make more sense). Trying to decide which is correct. Did the previous owned just install the previous one incorrectly or is the FSM correct?

this is the vertical one that attaches to the front of the quarter glass with screws and seal against the window frame. I am having some issues on the removal, it seems like I need to remove the quarter glass at least at the top (tilt it out maybee?) to get the very top of the old seal to remove. This looks like the case base on the new replacement. It seems like it has to wrap around a lip at the top from of the quarter glass. Has anyone messed with these? and if so any tips on the seal remove and install? the screws all came out easy, and I released the adhesive all where it was stuck down (the bottom edge and the top under the door weather seal).
