My car turned or turns 35 this month or today, I don't know the day so I will assume that it was today. Build date for my 1976 280Z was 11/75. She is having a good winters sleep under a car cover until sometime in late March or early April next year.

Has anyone ever heard of this? A friend of mine mentioned this to me in reference to a "clunking" sound in the rear end of my 71 240. As best I can decipher he is talking about something in the differential. Could it be drive shaft related? Thanks for any help.

I didn't see this on the classiczcars classified so assume this guy doesn't hang out here. I'm assuming that a complete 240Z dash in decent shape is hard to find. http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pts/2058155665.html

I'm going to try my best to describe this very recent problem I am having with my 78 280z. When I get up to about 2400 rpms, the car suddenly starts losing power. The tach doesn't drop like when you puch in the clutch, more like no response from the accelerator. If I keep the accelerator down it the car still slows / powers down to the point where it wants to stall. The engine light will flash and the car will start to lurch forward a bit. If I downshift and then give it some - it responds fine, until 2400 again. I can ease through the problem by giving slight gas but then the problems happens again around 3400rpm. I know, not a great description of the problem. O…

Hi guys, i'm new to the site and am a pretty avid Z fan. I have a Z32 and recently came across an S30 that I was thinking about buying. So, i'd like to get your guy's take on it? It's a 1975 280z, and it's for the most part, a project haha. It has a recently rebuilt L28 and the T5 tranny is supposably good. He said the only bad rust it has was in the passenger side floor pan and the frame rail needs a little tlc. I think the pictures pretty much speak for themselves... He want's $500 for it, however, I can probably get it for $400 ish. Thanks!!!

I'm looking for front and rear bumper mounts for a 1971 240z, not having much luck on the websites. Anyone out there have any or know where I can find them?

At least one of you asked for them, so here they are: The engine paint is Duplicolor's MetalCast blue, with base coat. The black is.. er... black. Everything silver is stainless. Most of the bolts on the intake are allen-head. In hind-sight, I would have ordered in the right size $2 allen-head screws for the injectors, as they would have been much easier to install. You'll notice I've replaced the valve-cover-to-throttle-body hose with a pipe. I think it looks better that way. In the middle of the following pic, you can see my MSD disconnect for the injector harness. The harness is integral with the fuel rail, which is wrapped with rubber hose and then silicone…

Hey all , well the insurance was finally up during mid october which gave me 5 months of troubleshooting and tweaking after 16 months of hard refresh work . The list was big , but not unusual for everyone here . Suspension bushings front and rear , Brakes f\r rebuild , Diff bushings , springs , struts , tokiko hp and lowering springs , undercoat strip and reweld and fab new floors , seats rebuilt with extra lumbar supports and new webbing and nice cloth \vinyl upholstery . Craigslist find for carpet kit and lastly , all my own body work and paint . It was shot with 2 coats of e-primer and then shredded on hard for most of the summer .Over winter it will get a coat of re…

In case it does someone some good -- I saw a pretty decent set of the highly desirable black & grey Mitsubishi Eclipse seats at the Oakland Pick N Pull today near the Coliseum. People have had success with these and they really, really look at home in a 240, plus are quite comfortable. But you can't be over 6 feet. These will be around $35 apiece. Row 34, in a red Eclipse. Steve.
